All Franchise Online Leagues Temporarily Offline

Hey Franchise Community,

Earlier this week we provided an update on why some Online Franchise Leagues were unable to log in. For details on this update, please check out the original EA Forum post here.

Yesterday, our teams attempted to roll out a server side fix to address the issue where some Online Franchise Leagues were unable to login. After the fix was rolled out, we noticed that the Franchise servers started to lock up. Late last night, a decision was made that we had to gate all of the Franchise Online modes to prevent all the Madden servers from locking up, which would have impacted all game modes.

At this time Franchise Online modes will be offline till further notice. Both Offline Franchise and QB1 are still available to play.

Please know that this is the top priority for the Franchise Team to fix at this time. Our teams are actively working through the 3 day weekend to find a solution and get online Franchise modes back online.

We will provide another status update this coming Tuesday, November 12th.

The franchise team is working on this . IDC THE WHOLE EA TEAM SHOULD BE WORKING ON THIS. It’s the weekend I barely get to play this game and I expect to be able to play it . Your losing your fan base . I hope you all never make another madden game . Anyone can make this game better .

You completely shut down the servers & you'll be gracious enough to update us on Tuesday?? EA is no better than 2K at this point, completely taking your loyal customers for granted & capitalizing on your monopoly. Where do I go for a refund????

Pretty said I sat on hold with you guys for 2 hours and now servers are down for god knows how long. I hope 2K gets the contract for the NFL licensing and you all get screwed all you care about is mut and making money f*ck the rest of the community.

If this is a high priority for you, an update doesn't come days later. That is a low-level incident by your actions. Very frustrating and your customers should be compensated with a discount off of next year.

I only play Madden for franchise. I preorder ever year and you guys are gonna tank this and save your cash cow behind MUT and this new superstar ko garbage. If you get rid of Franchise i'm done with your game.

Damn really? You work on that over the Weekend and give us an update 2 Days after that? Damn you start working on that Monday 9am with like 2 guys... Shocking how low your interest for Franchise Mode is. I mean if you work on it over the Weekend give us UPDATES like a few times a day...

Just come out and say that your are prioritizing Madden Ultimate Team because it continues to bring in money and the rest of us who enjoyed what made madden a former great franchise can go kick rocks. I have always played Madden and never remember this being an issue until Madden Ultimate Team became the focus. Keep continuing to put out a terrible product and this franchise will end up like NBA Live. I hope that you figure out a way to actually improve the game because some other company will and the NFL will drop EA like a bad habit as soon as your agreement expires.

Why doesn't there appear to be any other type of deployment environments? Coming from someone who deals with patching different environments every week, there should be a DEV - > UAT - > PROD patch deployment model to minimize issues like this for the end users.
