Logics I’m having the same error it’s sooo annoying !!! we can restart either like u said we loses depth chart save!!! This is so unexceptable!!! Can’t even play a H2H game now , let alone after I jus did 4 team depth chart!!!! I waited 5:00 min in the find opponent screen, it kept counting Down till I had to restart the app jus like said b4... I do have a small fix if happens hit rest mode instead of close app & it will sign u out & get u bak to main menu w/ depth chart saved still, BUT ..... agin GL to u trying to get a game goin??? it only wrx 1 in evry 6 try’s for me, basically hopeless cus 3/4 qrts of those that do end up working i still lose connection @ some point in the H2H game??!! But rest mode will wrx until or at least u till a new roster update sure u no... I Hope it wrx better for u Logics!!! EA PLz plz fix can’t play H2H & roster issuer is basically a joke @ this point u guys can fix it w/ ease plz make the fans frm DAY 1 happy easy fix & not evn being able to get game going??? Jus gets worse for us instead of better that’s SAD!!!
@EA_Blueberry Please bring this up to EA and remind them that this is a big issue. There are 7 pages of people complaining, I would think that shows that it deserves attention.
Pretty clear by now that they don't want to do this. It's not a glitch and as we've been, told they took it out on purpose. No idea why they thought this would be better and they won't say why they thought so.

Because for me, first its take away the option to use Target Passing from Madden 18, and now this depth chart situation, it's obvious that they don't want my money 😂🤷🏾♂️

Agreed. And besides target passing, in '18 they also took away history, stats, scouting, weather, challenges, and injuries. And now they also take away saving depth charts. Just restore those and whatever other features they removed in '18 into '20, '21, and next gen.

Thy now talking all about the new PS5 game all thy care about , considering the Virus in the country it’s basically going to b impossible for anyone who didn’t somehow preorder it to even get a PS5 for retail $$$ anywhere till prb the summer so tha EA for ruining anothe year of Madden for me , since 18-19 game for online H2H is trash !!! For people who play up to 400-1,000 gms H2H play for rankings & want good quality matchups u have left us in denial that u will ever listen to the real fans & fix the easiest thing n the game save DEPTH CHARTS !!!! Really showing ur true colors EA in a pandemic to we are stuck home barley getting bye thx for the added aggravation great job doing ur part EA!!!??? could b safely home playing Madden allday but nope u jus refuse to listen & help ursleves make a.Better product, but u guys buy the NFL license so no other real life football games allowed basically a monopoly , & jus refuse to help , listen , or take care of the people who have been buying this game since the early 90’s !!! Man, this would be a great Christmas surprise to be able to close the game when it locks up and we are unable to do anything besides restart the game and not have to waste time re ordering the depth chart on online h2h
This isn't even fixed on next gen madden. It's tiring setting up the depth chart every time I wanna play. Also, after using live playbooks online when I go into my next game, it gives me the incorrect defensive playbook. I even saved it in settings and it still changes.
Yeah, looks like this issue is not going to be addressed. I'm in complete agreement...adjusting the depth charts every time I want to play a game/open Madden 21 is far, far too tedious.
I've been playing this game since '92 but in recent years have been passing on it due to the declining user experience. I just got the game in December after passing on '19 and '20. I think EA has done a great job with the gameplay but I am playing it less and less due to the hassle factor related to being unable to save my desired depth chart for the teams I use. After a couple of months I was still thinking I was doing something wrong so, before I stopped playing I finally got online to investigate.
After reading this string and confirming that the issue is with the game design and not my inability to figure out how to save the depth charts I will be stepping away from the game once again. I'll just go back to playing MLB.
But hey, why should EA care? They already have my 60 bucks!
I dont why year after year EA treats online H2H players like crap. Saving the depth chart under Official has been a part of the game for years. Why remove it? Whats the point? After 3 years I have finally gotten my H2H ranking back. Why don't they focus their energy on fixing the bugs rather than removing what's already there and works just fine.
