25 years ago I enjoyed Madden NFL '94 gameplay on the SNES.
The AI was the best it's ever been, the presentation was top notch, the graphics could not be bettered at that time, and above all it was fun! The only downside was local coop vs today's online PvP lagfest, again probably more fun, certainly less frustrating!

Don't forget the amazing feeling of winning against your older brother. Although, that gameplay still stands up to this day.

I had the opposite experience, my brother used to kick my tail on madden. Heck he still does.

Not if he doesn't know about the Film Room. Check it out, @NatureBoy2323 will frequently post high level videos on how to set up certain players for huge plays.
Ps2 madden (minus the dumb passing cone in 06) was the golden age of madden. Ps1/n64 was good and only topped by the ps2 generation. Ps3/360 generation was atrocious and ps4/xone was not very good but better than the ps3/360 gen.
True stick skills were required in the ps2 and ps1/n64 generation. Not this hit the right joystick to juke garbage. U juked with the left stick in those day and it was actual skill. Players are and have been too tight for ps3/ps4/ps5.
Wish madden devs would use fifas player movements. It would be a massive improvement over the garbage momentum system madden has had for 14 yrs. Its either they over foot plant or dont at all with no weight and spastic jerky movement lol? It makes the game look/feel cheap and stupid.

I will have to say generation two (PS2) and generation four. (PS4 and XBox One) Just my opinion though.
