• Bumping this. I have the exact same problem. Tried loading roster before starting Franchise, no go. The option for using a custom roster only comes up if you select Cloud Saved Franchise, not on the Offline Franchise. All you get is preseason 75 man roster or current active roster. This game is irritating.

• I always go with the default playbook of the current coach. Since I run with the 'Skins, it will be Gruden's PB. Until I fire him or something. ;-)
