Player randomly showed up in 'bids won'

So I had a player (from my roster) show up in 'bids won' today. I have been pretty active buying and selling players, so I thought I had bought him to sell for coins...when I put him up for auction, he was pulled from my lineup and sold-it was Kris Letang, who I have had for weeks...I contacted EA support and they said, 'I'm sorry there is nothing I can do'...they told me that I should contact the forums to look for a solution...so, here I am.

Anyone out there got any ideas how I can resolve this issue?
