Laughable game

Do us a favor EA and just shut down the release of the actual game and go back to the drawing board. This game is going to be awful as usual. The defensive skill stick is almost completely useless, but hey, you can stick poke check any puck within a miles radius. Skating is still a train wreck. Guys jump 30 feet in the air randomly. Deking is broken. The 14 button combinations don't help either. And how the hell is it taking this long to acknowledge the problem of defensemen catching everyone on a breakaway EVERY time??? Last night i was a full zone ahead of anyone and the guy got back and poked me before I shot. It's a complete joke. Can you please fire these idiots and get some new people in there. It's about time. Don't tell me it's just a beta wither because if you think these things are gonna be fixed by release, you must have not been around here long.

Skill stick isn't useless. You just don't know how to do anything but poke spam.

The skill stick is for blocking passes and pressing the puck carrier.

Any other defenses of EA for the other points I made about this horrible game or have you got more excuses for them?

I think the DSS works well, I've noticed spammers getting more penalties,deking seems slow I think it's because of all the combinations u have to do, VS is slow I don't really see much of an improvement on the AI , the beta to me was ok but this is just my opinion

I actually like the game and I'm looking forward to the games release. Is it perfect? No. But it's still a good game. Every year I read posts like this and messages on PSN saying things like the game stinks, it isn't real hockey, etc. Well of course it's not real hockey, if it was real hockey I think a majority of us who play the game would be in so much trouble.

If you want real hockey go strap on a pair of skates and go play hockey.

This game is meant to resemble real hockey as much as it can but it has to take liberties because of the way it's programmed and designed. EA will never make a true to life hockey game it's impossible.

I take the game for what it is, fun and somewhat arcade oriented action. I find my most fun with these games to come from franchise type modes which means you better believe I'm looking forward to the games release in September.

So while you might not like it, there are people who do like it and would still buy it despite the shortcomings.

I know his post is a bit hostile and makes a blanket statement, so him getting ganged on isn't surprising, but like...........I actually wouldn't mind if EA went back to the drawing board lol. I'm 100% for that if they had a revelation and decided to actually do something about this game.

That is sadly impossible. There will always be inconsistencies with any network applications. What they could do though is use the offline gameplay as a measuring stick and determine an "acceptable range" they should aim for in terms of game responsiveness.

the game was good 09-12 now it's just trash. i'll play this one when it comes to the vault.

There is nothing wrong with the game itself, the game is plays like trash because TPS and vision control are huge failures! Fix the skating and vision control you fix the game, period! The game should be responsive to your commands!!! Its not right now, that is the problem. Its sluggish, its slow, weird pivots, stuck in mud, etc. This game is fast twitch reaction which forces you to change commands in a split second during each game, your movements should be responsive!

Fix TPS and vision control and you fix the game.
