NEWBIE - Trading Post and Consumables

After not having played a hockey video game in years, I picked up 17 in Aug of this year - loved it and am hooked on HUT. But I have some questions that I hope you may be able to answer:

1 - In 17 (at least when I picked up in Aug) there was a Trading Post <?> where you could convert 10 coaches or 10 jerseys or 10 arenas for a basic Gold collectible. In 18 I see something similar to Trading Post but it doesn't have this convert 10 to Gold collectible. Any idea whether this was removed for 18 or if it typically gets added later after initial release?

2 - In 17 (at least when I picked up in Aug) you could buy Consumable Packs (included 8 contracts and 2 heals). In 18 I do see Consumable Packs are sometimes rewarded after a HUT Challenge but I don't see the option to buy this type of pack. Any idea whether this was removed for 18 or if it typically gets added later after initial release?

3 - Finally HUT HERO Set ... I don't get it. After getting excited because I finally got all the Islanders (set reward is Pat Lafontaine), I realized that I also needed to include 2 Carbon Collectibles. But if I had 2 Carbon Collectibles I could sell them for 100K each. That's a 200K + value (not including all the value of all the set players and a required Gold Collectible) for Pat Lafontaine. BUT I could buy him in Auction for 150K. So WHY would I do the set?

Thanks and appreciate any thoughts.

    1. It was in since launch last year, has been removed this year

    2. This was added at later stage last year, so might still happen. But maybe trading in Tips cards for consumables is the replacement.

    3. You get the Hero collectible as well if you do set. But with the current price of golds and carbons, I agree it makes no sense to do them ATM.
  • That was helpful info Dragon ... thanks.
