Cant add or remove players on special teams in hut

Anyone else having this issue? I cant add or remove players on the power play or penalty kill in hut. The only two options that are displayed when i select a player are add consumable and player information

Replies

  • Hit squarr
  • Or square
  • Hit squarr

    squarr doesn't work, I tried
  • Square doesnt work for my either, i can swap players around that are already in there but i cant substitute for other players
  • Go to edit lineup. Hit square. Use r1 l1 to change between lines to swap in players
  • Oooo ok im gona try this
  • Yeah, they made this way too confusing. I thought it was some stupid oversight on EA's part at first.

As said above, press square to pick a player you want to swap, and then you can press R1 and L1 to cycle between your forward and defense lines and pick the replacement from there.

This. Even after 2 years I still forget to click square to substitute. Old habits die hard.

I clicked square but it doesn't let me choose from any lines but the current specialty teams? It's not supposed to be like this. There should be a substitute option on the special teams like any other line. I'm going to go check and see if I can actually bring up the other lines after using square like some have reported. Swap is supposed to be to quickly move pairings around etc.

I’m still not following. So you think you should be able to put players other than what you have on your main lines on special teams? If not, why do you need substitute button? You put the players you gonna use on your main lines using substitutions and then distribute them over other lines as you please using square.

Once you click square and the player is highlighted, click L1 once or twice to access offense/defence to choose players available to swap with. Click square to swap that new player.

PSN is down otherwise I'd make a video.
  • Was also gona try this but psn down, you used to be able to use the substitute in previous games i wonder why they made the swap option instead, seems overly complicated, complicated enoigh i had to come to a forum and **** around for answers

Just a slight oversight. There should be sub button in these specialty teams menu. I bet there is a typo on that line or something preventing it from showing up in specialty teams LOL.
  • The sub works fine. It's there. It's the square button.
