Bring back regional lobbies so WE can choose with whom and what server to play on. Also bring back the ability to see other players connections which can determine if we want to join games with certain players or not.
Bring back custom player builds. Just give everyone the same amount of attribute points.
Bring back 12 player private drafts/lobbies. It was so much easier and effective (fun too) getting games going with friends than the current system.

This was exploited big time by guys making super tiny guys and then going online to find a build of a speedy skater who'd just skate by anybody... Honestly I like how they have it now they just need to work on the mechanics a bit cause it seems a tad bit wonky hammering a guy only to have the puck stuck to him and him get up and still have the puck

This was another thing that was exploited, guys would just make custom lobbies an build their stats and levels up. Only way with what you're asking would work is if they turned of player experience and just had guys play a random game against eachother
The “super” builds is so over blown. It was a small majority of people that did that compared to the rest of the community. I built my player the way I wanted and I didn’t have a problem with those “super” builds nor did a lot of friends I played with. I think the people that complain about those “super” builds were just not smart enough to do their own research and simply weren’t good enough to build their own player to beat them. Anyway, that problem is on EA and it’s their responsibility to fix it. Yet they just eliminate it completely so we all lose.
Also if we all were given the same amount of points right from the start it wouldn’t really matter about “levelling” up because there wouldn’t be a progressive system. The majority of players I play with and/or talk to think the Gold status means crap because it’s so easy to achieve regardless. I usually have mine by the end of November. I can also built my stats by playing against random scrubs. I don’t need to play against/with friends to do that. I also believe stats didn’t actually register/count when playing in these 12 player private drafts the last year it existed. Players can still exploit the system now so it doesn’t really matter. My friends and I never really cared about “levelling” up and “stats”. We just wanted to play with whom we wanted to and the games were usually fun and evenly matched WITHOUT scrubs, quitters and trolls!
Those two aspects were what made the game fun for a lot of people. Yet, EA elimated both of those things to try and force us to play the game they want and with/against whom they want.

It was a large majority not a small amount... it was either guys being super tiny with a lot of speed or huge 6'9 guys that weighed a ton who you could never get around...
You blame it on EA and yet they did take care of it with the way they made it now and it seems pretty fair to me...
Dunno what kind of guys you play with or against but calling members of the EA community "scrubs" seems a little childish to me... maybe learn some respect or maybe your upset on how some guys are taking you to town hence why you're asking for a change? I dunno anyways your suggestion is there, I just disagree with it cause it seems way better now. EA just needs to tweak some things and fix the exploits and bugs within the game to make this playable
I seriously hope its on the new engine. I'm just ready for something new - in terms of new everything. New graphics, new skating, new physics, new goalie animations. Even new exploits, sick of dam top cheese.
"You blame it on EA and yet they did take care of it with the way they made it now and it seems pretty fair to me..."
Yeah, many of us don't consider scrapping something in its entirety "a fix".
There really wasn't a fix for it that I could see happening other than what they did... So if they only gave us a certain amount of points to level up you'd still see guys exploiting it by creating either 5'5 speed guys or 6'9 huge guys to hammer you

floating cap on stats with height and weight.
caps on stats would increase or decrease depending on what size you are.
example: 6'6" 225 lb can have max 92 strength but the accel or agility or what have you may cap at 82.
5'8" 120 lb can have max 92 speed but the strength or balance or what have you may cap at 82.
floats as your height and weight increase and decrease.
I am open to any suggestions tho... anything to spice this up a bit. it's way too vanilla as it is to me (and my team).

Plus every stat has to matter and reflect on the ice. 90 speed and 65 agility, 65 balance, well it should reflect that. You should be wiping out regularly and very very easy to knock over.
You do realize though, if every stat mattered as it should have from the start, you basically end up with the 9 cookie cutter classes we currently have. The variants would be very small. Speed and agility would most likely be the 2 biggest differences among players. As usual, speed would be the biggest priority in player builds.

I mean, I get the argument and point of view. But, the game mode feels way to hollow or vanilla to far too many of us. We don't really care about unlocking a mullet or mouthpiece. We were a Div 1 club last year and stayed at the local community rink and bingo hall. Just didn't care enough to go jazz up the old dump. Plus, the community rink had charm, grit and soda machines.
The variety and depth of player I see on 2k basketball just makes things more interesting to me.... and my player is a 90 and I go against 92-94 quite frequently in league play and do just fine. And I am not even a huge fan of basketball like I was in the 80's - 90's.
I think EA can fix it to where the stats actually matter and I believe they can use their imagination and expertise to make a system that rivals that of 2K's or what they had in the past on old gen.

I agree and understand. More options should be the best route for sure. Small resources and poor choices imo are going to continue to kill this franchise.
The idea of a wishlist is to share what you'd like to see in the game. It can be a new feature or a change in a certain aspect etc. While we can't comment on these, this doesn't mean we don't read these suggestions and take into consideration this feedback, these threads are vital to the development of any game.
If you don't agree with another player's idea or perception you can discuss it in a constructive manner.
I've gone through this thread and remove a multitude of comments from here that aren't adding anything the conversation. If you want to state that the game is fine as it is or that the game is beyond fixing, this is not the place to do it.
Choose which tv station you want to use, not just nbcsn. Or make your own tv station for expansion teams. Be a mascot mode. Do the all star competitions and games in gm mode.
-More opportunity to do when choosing contract and put which teams u would most like to go
-Opportunity to ask to get moved to your draft team
-training so that u do some training not only pressing what to train
-maybe some sponsor stuff and stuff also outside the games interviews and stuff like that
-all different goals for the season for u and the team and bonus opportunity in contracts
-EITHER WORLD CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT OR WORLD CUP LIKE IN REAL LIFE THAT U HAVE CHANCE TO GO PLAY INTERNATIONAL
-Chance to get youre number freezed
-face scan app
-little more some show or something and get traded amd first game before start and commentators commenting
-Chance to talk to coach/gm if not happy with something or want to tell that is happy for something
-Chance to ask for be a captain or alternate captain
-When u get contract offers so more information from the teams that offers that what kind of a team they have next season what player the have and what going to try get on summer
-Chance to suggest to coach some player to the team that u think would have good chemistry/impact in the team
Cut down on the ticky-tack interference or tripping penalties, especially in one goal games. 'Let them play!'
I might have posted this before, but the player models seem too big for the ice. This is something that i think all will agree with. It is ridiculous how clustered things get at times.
I would like to see Ftostbite. But then again I realize it is a huge task and it can end up like nhl 15 with less game modes and cut content.I guess it should be better to keep the engine and fine tune the gameplay and existing modes plus add the suff that the community actually wants. Now I know EA will be tempted to do singleplayer movie mode,or new commentary /presentation (if yes then add in extra canadian tv style depending on where is the game Us or canada )yes its ok ..but mainly focus on the good ,bugfixed gameplay. It is the most important aspect if you plan ESports with this product

Ha! That's how about everyone I know feels now!
I used to roll with all fatties and a medium.
Can’t wait until NHL 19!
