Replacing NHL teams

I was wondering if anyone knew if replacing all NHL teams with created teams is possible in NHL 18? I am asking for my dad who has one of the old 2K games (2K10 t be exact) which only allows for up to 10 replaceable created teams. I know EA's version is different but perhaps they also followed suit with this limited team replacement as 2K did. Thank you for your help.

Yes you can replace all 31 teams, I did it last year myself
