it seems pretty simple that all the GAME CHANGERS should be uniting as a group and let EA know this series has not been great on current Gen, If i were a GC id be emailing Rammer every week saying where is the patch for the looping/resetting, and saying why dont you talk to the fans on the forums and let people know whats going on... I wouldn't be the person to just have a special title and not doing anything but brag about it
I've never seen him brag about being a game changer. I didn't even know he was one until someone (maybe you in another thread) mentioned that he was one.

there are other GC besides him
And yet he's the only one who I've seen mentioned by name as being one. I don't care who they are. I'm not one and so I do what I can. If they take my opinions and ideas to ea great if not oh well.
Personally I would love it if sports games adapted a subscription model type. Say $50 a year with monthly updates as needed and semi annual major updates to add to core game modes such as Franchise, Be a Pro, etc. to go along with weekly roster updates and so on. There is no need to buy the game annually and have to install new versions of the game, they should just call it something like EA SPORTS NHL HOCKEY and go from there, it could be a good base model to go off of.
No. Look at games like war thunder, warframe, unturned and the plethora of other free to play games and even some like csgo and Rocket League that are pay to play. All are supported by micro transactions that are setup exactly the same as ea's already are.
The only reason to not go this route is to continue to horde all the shekels.
This would be great if they scrapped the 'yearly release'. You have to remember though they've been doing the whole yearly release thing for 25+ years. They aren't simply going to want to stop collecting yearly game sale revenue. Yearly subscription could cover that and more because they wouldn't be producing discs/packaging and distributing as much.
If they went this model you'd have to expect microstransactions in EASHL first. It would have to be a 'live' model similar to what you see in HUT where there are new cards coming out all the time.
In the past on these boards "last gen" I didn't really like @B-Bunny much. Lately I have a lot more respect for him. He doesn't seem like the bad guy I remember him being before. Lol idk if I grew up or he did or both but I'd have a beer with the guy.
He's not one sided at all and has issues with the game and has things he thinks are done well.
Things were alot better when Joseph, Oilersguru were running things
They havent even patched the looping/resetting in this game yet and you think they will keep the patches coming in this format? lol nope
Do you ever have anything nice or positive to say? Why even bother coming here if you are only here to troll? What benefit does that have to anyone?
You play Club on a nightly basis and get scrwed out of goals that should have counted than stripped away for no reason....................
Your club was diving around the ice like babies when I played against you guys. And we had a goal removed from our score. And you still lost. Sounds like trolls to me.
But also dont forget im a top 30 goalie in Top 100 Career and Top 30 goalie in Top 100 Seasons so
A healthy model is one time payment and supported by micro transactions. There's no reason for a subscription unless it's a game like eve or wow with an always live always changing world they have to maintain constantly.
Supported by M.transaction ???
Micros is the MAIN reason( with yearly release) why this game and all sports game are rotten now...
They tweak game play, player develppment in relation with MTs.
Games can support themself just by the single price off the sale if the game is decent enough. If they'D stop spending more than half the budget on marketing.
How About: you make a good game and ill buy it so you can make money. Just like in everyother consummers market...
Why are you all trying to find ways on how they could suck more cash out of you for a **** product. ??? They make money... you all get that, right ? They already make money. And i'm reading that you'd accept MT and subscrition... This is blowing me off my chair.
Not only that but they already make money with a **** product, copypasta from last year... just imagine if they'd put a decent thing outhere... This is a nonsense.

Simple. Make a good game.
Rocket league and counter strike are great games yet they still have micro transactions. Yes in those games they are 100% cosmetic but they are there to support continued development. Also I'm sure sanctioned esports tournaments help too.

How can you compare those ? i paid 20$ for RL and 80 $ for nhl. X4 the price !!!
One is a completely new original game and design and one is a cheaply tweaked copypasta from last year and the year before. guess the one who should cost 20 and the one 80 ... ?
one has a game(mode) built around MT and one you can buy new hats and rims with MT...
Support continued developpement. lol At 80$ a piece... support developpement... seriously ? lol At 80$ i EXPECT some kind of effort. How much they need 100 ? 150 ? lol... C'mon...
support share holders that only cares about next semester profit you mean.
Edit: My point is: stop trying to find ways to/supporting the subscription/ microtransactions scam for a muultinational company thats sells below par products at a huge price. They make a fortune and we already give them more money than justified for the product they offer. MT is just an insult added to the already over inflated price.

But what if a yearly sub only cost you $50 instead of $80? And the quality of the game increased because new features weren't being rushed out every year?
Change your perspective, quit being so pessimistic, and there are a lot of potential positives to it, eh bud?

MTX are ok if done well.
This series could use a boost. First off, if the game was cheaper or free with MTX, it may expand the playerbase which is good for everyone. Second, the MTX, if they remain for packs of HUT cards + aesthetics in EASHL, are optional and not game changing, are healthy to keep production up.
Keep in mind that I would NEVER be crazy enough to spend ONE penny in HUT when I know that my investment will be for all intents and purposes wiped after 1 year when the new game comes out. I mean, I will want the new game but my collection wouldnt follow. Im sure many feel the same. Same goes for EASHL.
having no yearly releases does this:
-Attracts more people
-Makes purchases of MTX less of a ripoff...so it motivates people to buy and collect or whatever.
-More people + more MTX = More sales.
-More sales = more money for updates and creation of more mtx.
Overall the system helps everyone. Meanwhile, to keep customers happy, you are motivated in updating the game play regularly to keep it attractive and keep/attract more players.
They have a good headstart now by having a mtx interface in EASHL even though its just unshockable for now.
Subscriptions:
There are many ways this could be done.
It could be a yearly fee. It could be a monthly fee. It could be EA Access giving you access to all sports games.. MTX should be included as long as they are for HUT packs and for non-p2w eashl mtx. Just to customize your team, arena, player, etc.
The cost of this game yearly currently can be seen as asubscription model already. For $80 a year you play the latest version. Im not sure how people dont see that.
They havent even patched the looping/resetting in this game yet and you think they will keep the patches coming in this format? lol nope
Do you ever have anything nice or positive to say? Why even bother coming here if you are only here to troll? What benefit does that have to anyone?
You need to realize what trolling is. Speaking an honest, albeit negative opinion of something isn't trolling. He's right. Why would EA impress us with a different model, when they barely have the talent to maintain their current iteration? Cut the crap misusing hackneyed words.
STOP IT WITH SUBSCRITPTION. !!! Its called yearly release. We already have that at 80$ / year !!! Lol Seriously. What the heiall is it different form now ?!?!?!
You want to stop having to buy the game every year. in replacement ( in order to have better developpement) you want to pay every year for the game ? i dont get it...
I bought the last 3 nhl at 80$ a piece plus taxes and you'Re trying to convince me that with only 50$ a year we'll have better product... ????
THere is no rush to make the game. Nothing changes !!! not even bug fixes... seriously...
more money doesnt = higher quality.

This is it right here. They basically already have a subscription model in place, except the player base decline because you have to download a new copy of the software to keep playing.
Also, a subscription model sucks.
They should totally go with the “one time purchase supported by micro transaction model”.
And as you mentioned earlier, the micros would be for things like HUT cards and cosmetic things; not attributes or abilities for eashl players.

Yearly releases means there is a set window of development time for each iteration. Say it's 8 months, Dec-July. They have to try and fix bugs, upgrade existing mechanics, develop new mechanics, and worst of all come up with some new features/modes to sell the game around.
If they get away from the yearly release there is all of a sudden no exact time window for development. They don't have to work on big shiny things to market the game around either. They'd get to work on new features and new mechanics as long as they need and release them when they are truly ready rather than pushing them out for the new game and just saying, 'eh they're good enough for now we'll try and patch it sometime after release.
That is how the quality of the game could increase.
Yearly released sports games are an ancient business model that hinder the developers. Hopefully they are serious about this change and make it sooner than later.
Anyone with half a brain will realize that yearly releases are bleeding the life out of this franchise. I sound like a broken record but here are the reasons why:
Declining player base:
- not everyone buys the newest nhl game every year especially because the changes are so insignificant. So you have your player base spread out over 3 or maybe 4 versions of NHL
- Your player base is then cut in half again because of no cross platform play and no availability on PC
- This results in difficulty finding matches which makes the game look bad and frustrates people who want to quickly get in a game
High pressure on devs and marketing team:
- when you have to release a “new game” every year you are forced to put out a product whether it is finished or not.
- Putting out a product riddled with bugs and gameplay issues results in the community questioning their abilities
- Marketing team has to find new ways to package the game which is often just recycled features that were already in the franchise at one point.
Customer dissatisfaction:
- customers feel completely ripped off paying $80-90 for a game that progresses very little each year in terms of gameplay.
- Customers spread hate via social media and no longer want to buy the product.
With a lack of focus on gameplay improvements we are seeing streamers and you tubers openly diss the game.
People have been urging gameplay improvements for YEARS. We have complained about TPS and player movement for 4 years and ... nothing gets changed.
