It’s 2017!!!

Why o why in this day and age do you still get matched up with people using the free wi-fi from their local McDonald’s??
Every EA game is exactly the same. Hey I see your using 100mbps fibre. Here you go, play this guy that’s logged into the Starbucks downstairs and see how it goes!!!

  • How do you know that they have a bad connection ? it’s probably not the players fault, i personally think it’s EA. I have a good connection and I played against players with good connections too and it’s still bad for me or them. It’s always the same, either my players play like i’m playing offline so everything’s smooth and fast or my players play like 50 overall rookies. There’s a problem and i don’t even know what it is. Nobody really knows or some people know and they’re hiding the secret. There’s some people who doesn’t experience lag/delays so i don’t know. I **** hate not knowing what’s the truth and we may never know.
  • No I think it’s the OP players. Specially the ones fro QC. Connection could be great and once they are losing by a goal, connection goes haywire.
    I bleed hockey!!!!!!!!!!

Its the same for me in Sweden I get matched up against other swedes abd finnish guys mostly and it is almost always 3 green bars but the game lags almost every time. I have 200mb fibre but it lags so much that it makes it so hard to play. Passes wont go off, poke checks come 1 sec after button is pressedn and so on. Takes 2 sec for my guys to turn with the puck, I had 7 comp games yesterday and I had this lag issue in all of them. I managed to win 6 of those but it was tough, I should be crushing them normally based on their skill level but the advantage is huge if you get on the right side of the connection lag.

Have no idea why this is happening but it got much worse after the update for me for some reason.
  • 3 green bars before the game then as soon as the game starts it lags, freezes, fast forwards. Absolute crap.
  • EA just seem incapable of making a game where 2 people play online and the best man wins. I quit Fifa after 22 years because the scripting during games was ridiculous. So blatantly obvious they should be embarrassed denying it exists.

This is the only really annoying thing in my opinion.. Lag exists, end of story. There are so many different factors that play into this; however, if I see THREE GREEN BARS and then I start lagging mid game.. that is frustrating

I wonder if "ice tilt" is all about the connection after all. Perhaps they're not lying about balancing odds or favoring the other, but they just wont correct us about the real issue which could be this one?

Just had a game like this, where even though the opponent was probably better and had better player, it felt like playing EASHL with a laggy connection. Everything took about a second longer than it normally would.
  • I used to notice this back in the day a lot more when matching up against players from Europe (I used to play during the day in the New York Time Zone so it makes sense to be lined up against such far away competition) and slow laggy games were a commonplace but I just assumed it was something to do with their infrastructure not being up to par with American standards. Now a days I don't play online but I am wondering if getting matched up with those from the UK, Germany or Finland was still a mess.
  • When the server finds a match, why not bring up a simple message

    We’ve found a match, this persons DNF% is x%

Do you wish to play or search again
