Anyone else have issues while playing as goalie where he will freeze in position and you can’t move him at all? Happened to me twice in 1 game today like he’s literally a statue ****
There's 2 instances it happens to me. 1)i get hit in my crease and get locked up and can't move. My trick is to just use the poke(rs up), and that unfreezes me.
The 2nd situation is when my battery dies mid game and i swap my battery. This causes a weird issue in that there is no fix I'm aware of. It simply leaves me unable to move the rest of the match. I noticed there are no controller options in the menu when this occurs. Simply says options or controls unavailable or something to that effect.

There's THREE distinct occasions where a goalie will freeze on you:
1) If an opponent or a teammates plows into you while you're making a save, you'll freeze in place. Just jam on the A button or tap UP on the Right Stick (poke check) and you'll get out of it.
2) If you make a desperation save you'll sometimes be frozen while "sitting on your ****". Let go of any button you might be pressing and your goalie should get up by himself. If that doesn't work, do the same thing as above.
3) If your goalie initiates an "auto-save", you'll be stuck in that animation until the game decides to release you. No amount of pressing buttons or jamming on the sticks will help. It's especially frustrating when it happens midway while trying to slide from post to post. Your goalie will get stuck in the middle of the net "hugging" the air... Just let go of any inputs on your controller and pray the goalie becomes unstuck quickly (before the opponent can score on a wide open net).
#3 is the WORST!!! More so because it's a problem that's been around since NHL 16 and has been reported to the devs a bajillion times, only to be told they need "new code" to fix "legacy human goalie issues" like that.
But this game was built from the ground up there can't be legacy issues. I remember 2 being a problem back in 13. 1 and 3 however I never saw so those are newer.
