Will you people learn how to play????

Every single game I play in drop in as goalie my team constantly forces cross creases no matter how many people are collapsed...defense plays offense, 1 kid always tries to one man team it, defense fails to cover anything because they’re always so busy chasing the puck..it’s amazing that any goalies can ever get a win in OTP this community is even more pathetic than the gameplay itself.

  • Another L added to the record. Faced 36 shots...my team managed a whopping 7....

The gameplay is flawed, but a huge problem is the absolute garbage player community. All scrubs.
  • Or how about when the d-men skate across the goal mouth with the puck? Isn't it just a kick when they loose it right in the crease and the opponents get an easy goal? Or how about when you've been stopping every puck, but your d-men decide to dive into you to try and stop pucks for you? Or how about when your teammates dive and trip a player on a breakaway? Because WHY NOT give a shooter a 2nd chance to score...

The people who play are bad because the game itself is bad. It's bad at telling players what they do right and what they do wrong. For instance, why does a goalie get ripped appart by the coach for "Careless Wandering" (and a -27% in TEAM PLAY rating) when he comes out of his crease to stop a shot and can't. But a d-man who constantly gets in your crease and goes stick down gets NO coach feedback to stop being a traffic cone?

I don't know. Maybe for the same reason the coach told me I needed to make something happen on the power play if I wanted to stay on the ice. Problem was, I was playing goalie when he threw me that comment....
  • The game is broken, but a lot of these dudes don’t seem to have any form of hockey IQ at all so I can’t fully blame the broken game...a lot of them are just completely useless garbage

Couple of things. 1) stop caring about anything that happens in drop in. 2) i firmly believe that they have some kind of match making system in place that says if you are in a decent sized group, we are going to find a similar group for you. I've done quite a bit of both dropins solo and dropins with friends. When I play with friends it's almost always a good game against a decent team (CRs usually 600-1200) and when I run solo almost every game seems like a melting pot of maybe 2-3 decent players and 8-10 complete garbage or trolls or whatever. Let's be honest this community (video game and hockey in general) isn't the best. On an average night in the old lobbies or in random drop ins now... I would run into mostly drunks and high ons that can't even complete put 3 words together. If you bother to put on your head set, you will assume someone came through and gave lobotomies with copies of NHL. Stop expecting much out of them.

About the only person that annoys me anymore are the ones that have no idea what they are doing, it's obvious, racing all over like a moron, but they are first one on the headset whining about how every one else sucks. Thats usually when I will entertain myself by taking out their knees whenever i get a chance. EA doesn't seem to care that their game is the largest troll fest in the history of gaming, so use that for your own entertainment sometimes.

I love picking D and never really allowing a true quality scoring chance and to limit a team to below 10 shots in 3 periods only to have my goalie be a complete nub and we end up losing 5-4.

Just let me not drop in with a human goalir and id be golden and play much more.

Can compensate for trash offense by scoring. Can compensate for a bad d partner. Cant compensate for you drop in scrubs who pick g and are solely to blame why I got an L.

Dunno if other sports are similar but hockey seems to have the most uneducated fan base I've ever seen in gaming.

The other day I hopped on, two level 1 forwards on my team, we were losing 2-0 being outshot 14-1 come second intermission. Teal had our only shot. The entire third period the forwards are sounding off on D buddy and I about how it's our fault we only have one shot and they'd be better off if we both quit.

I tried to explain if we had better back checking from the forwards we wouldn't be hemmed in our zone as much and if they could sustain more than a one and done rush on offense we would have more scoring chances ... buddy scoffed at me like I was speaking another language.

LOL. Welcome to the world of Scrub Dropins 18. Fell the intensity as forwards scream at you to pass the puck up the nano second you touch it! Feel the rush as D men are constantly ignored at the point and forwards force pass garbage cross creasers all game long! And as an added bonus, hockey 101 knowledge is not required!

  • You cant have any expectations when you play dropin. the last game i played the Troalie was skating to center ice and doing the hungry hippo right from the moment the game started. until EA brings back lobbies drop is just a useless waste of time.
go start or find a club
