Speculations of what will be in NHL 19

^ Yes, I remember that. There used to be the perfect balance where you had to estimate how long to hold the passing trigger based on how far the player was.

Now, you can send passes at the speed of rockets regardless how close or far the player is.

This is just another skill-component they took out of the game to make it easier for new players.

But at the same time made the game more difficult because passing is a gamble in this series.

I agree though passing doesn't need improvement. It's the servers that do.

I disagree. Passing on the old gen took more skill than this gen. Hear me out. On the 360 days, if you held a pass for too long and a teammate was near, the pass would hit of your teammates stick and wasn’t able to catch it.

Also on old gen, tapping pass would send a light pass. On the current gen system, tapping the pass send rockets. That ruins plays when I just wanted to send a small, light pass to a close teammate but because the game wants to send a
howitzer of a pass, the pass is too fast for my close teammate and can become a turnover.

I agree but a lot of issues are server related with the passing. The rocket passes are a delayed charge up from seconds ago or spamming r2 for one touches. Wrong direction passes are due to fat man lag and it doesn't recognize your stick input in time.

I am not seeing rocket passes with taps at all. Even if you have lag, it's not recognizing taps as a longer pressing of the pass button.

Get some video of those passes going in the wrong direction. Bring up the controller diagram and you'll see your aim was off. I looked at videos where I could have sworn my pass was aimed right, but in the end it wasn't or the assist sent the pass to a nearby player instead.
  • 1.) Custom builds again, but no grind to L3. Just give us the attributes right off the bat.

2.) Communities = This was a terrible removal. You used to be able to go here and look for clubs/players. Also were able to conveintently check stats as well though menu options.

3.) Can we please take a year off from HUT and focus on the gamemode EASHL, that made this game successful and fun?

Boom. I second all of this.

LT SHOULD ALWAYS = FACE THE PUCK

By far the worst thing that ever happened to defensemen. I dont fear a dangler, I fear my D man turning his back to the play.

I wish there was a way to seperate the scrubs with bad CR from good players in drop ins on EASHL. I can't stand always getting matched with idiots in 3 on 3 who don't know how to cycle and leave you circling the wall getting double teamed just trying to find a lane to them while they are both waiting on the other side of the ice 50 feet away.

Well, yeah drop ins is lottery, unless you use the group drop in, in which case you get all your team mates on the same side. Fun times for the opponent with your d-men running around like rabid mice, and the opponent scoring at will.
  • I was actually thinking for nhl 19 that we get something like a story mode for the mascots and your personal character of your chosen team and you can move around everywhere in the hockey stadium just like when you can move around in NBA 2K.

Do you think this should be put in leave me a reply on what you think

This should definitely be the absolute last thing worked on, assuming every single issue, mechanic, and bug is fixed.

What custom player do you want to build that you cant get from Player Classes? Not just current classes, but new archetypes that could be added too.

Here we go again, another year of how to make the game good again.

Since 2013 the game has lost favor, been a disaster, less fun, more frustrating.

The top 2 culprits of this are

    1. TPS skating is terrible
    2. Servers struggle to give good online experience

Fix these two things and the game will play incredibly fast, smooth, and fun.

I once again propose going back to the glory days of this game, 2010 thru 2012 when it had it's largest following and most loyal community.

These are good suggestions, but we can all see how TPS is tailor made for puck carriers. Without the puck, the skating engine is very poorly implemented. Since at least NHL 14, TPS just makes me believe it is intended to allow for figure skating puck hogs.

I’d like hut to go back to early stages n make it for GM like again. Salary caps, perm training boosts, max player games then retired. Gave the bronze n silver cards a purpose as you could boost them for a limited time on cheap, but eventually even they got paid. Made for more interesting team designs

Also franchise mode, have ur unsigned draftees progress n give the ability to let ur US n euro players go back to junior n develop until 20 yrs like the Canadian players
  • honestly there only one mode that still sucks need to IMPROVE on i could care less about online though online Ultimate team has gotten way better threes so much fun but the WORST they need too fix my pro, make it fun go news things make a misstate when a friend messages drink party too much get in trouble for it, or ur player gets to go to winter classic or not just start in CHL maybe include staring in JR A then chl then may even could go to ESHL then AHL then NHL(u have all the different leagues) just make ur pro player do that, re name it call it Hockey Life. make it more immersive like 2k does where ur pro has a cell txts, like what u guys did for ea sports NBA live this yr that blew me way way better then 2k18 please blow me away with NHL 19 MY PRO need the most work, screw up on media hurts ur rating increase fan base or loose it, life choices on and off the ice witch i thought was gonna be in this yrs. please i try every yr still least impress with hockey my pro but ur other sport games rock the most. thx

You've never had your controller pressing up and left to only put the pass down and left? Never?

You honestly have no clue about this game when there's lag. Your game is perfect. I'd love the game too if it worked for me all of the time.

So true. In real life if the forward makes a sudden stop, the defense will do it too. In this game if the forward makes a sudden stop, you try to do the same as a defenseman and you can't stop on a dime and you go way too far and slide out of the play.

Yes. When I've seen that happen I've watched the replay and seen how I accidentally aimed there. It wasn't intended, but with quick, twitchy movements, it's certainly possible.

My game isn't perfect. Every few weeks I start getting lag. Power cycling my network and console takes care of it though. I'm also not saying I'm 100% happy with how the game plays. I have very similar issues as others here. Lag just isn't one of them.
  • Remove TPS, add back NHL 09-12 vision control

You know, the kind where LT makes you face the puck.

That would make this game infinitely more fun when you dont have the puck.

    Also club practice hopefully returns
