Why speculate?

You guys wanna know what NHL19 will be? Exactly what 15-18 was, copy and paste with more celebrations and useless features on top of more focus on different packs that players can buy on HUT since it’s their cash cow, yet has the worst gameplay of all modes and the most connection issues.
EASHL will still completely lack any of the work we request. You’ll still get the same weak classes to choose from along with the terrible AI that doesn’t play their position and the goalies who are less consistent than a bi-polar woman’s mood. The game will run smooth for a few games and then feel like you’re fighting your Ai, the controls, EA and the other team. Like even now, my team is 67-6-5...average 5+ goals each game, all of a sudden the past 3 games we miss the net wide, hit post, whiff on wide open chances, can’t pick up the puck...like make the game consistent...I swear the past couple releases it feels like the game is handicapped to keep the scrubs competitive so they’ll keep playing the game and spending money on it...anyone can disagree if you would like, but you know you’ve played plenty of games where it doesn’t feel even in the way the puck bounces, the shot accuracy etc etc...
What EA needs to do is either take a year break and revamp this whole game, put it out on the frostbite engine. Or just throw the game in the garbage since “it’s their least profitible title” and let another company take over. It’s been a solid 5-6 years of absolute flops by EA, more so in the past 3-4 years...the game has yet to show any improvement in any way at all...this year they put in defensive skill stick...which works ok some of the time.

During 18's lifecycle, I have had one night of GREAT games, apart from that every game feels weighted one way or the other.
I have no doubt that this studio knows how to make the best hockey game you have ever seen, it's just too much moneymaking going on, destroying the game.
Sorry man, stop buying the game, go for some EA-shares instead.
I’ll agree with you here. A lot of the tools required for a fun hockey game are present in this game. When playing offine, it’s some of the best representations of real hockey that I’ve ever seen. The frustrating thing though, is that the skating, physics, and sometimes transparent goalies absolutely kill any immersion I had for the small glimpses of amazing.
When it comes to constantly delivering a true hockey experience game after game, this is NOT the best hockey game ever made, but it certainly delivers the most authentic hockey experiences that I’ve ever seen, they just happen in very small glimpses.
