Go back to P2P and drop the "dedicated servers"
Everyone hates these servers, they are extremely slow and it's almost impossible to get a good, smooth game. At this point, most players probably have better broadband than EA servers put out, so just get rid of the servers and move on. Cheaper for EA so they don't have to manage the servers, and a better experience for players because the servers EA has are terrible.

Me and 4 others messed around with OVP. I was the only West guy there. Our opponents were from QC and my connection played 1000 times better as opposed to dedicated East servers. It was 5v3 and I was running 40ms, usually I would get delay when playing East opponents but that wasn't the case this time. The person hosting the game was also East.
Where are you located? I run 13ms on West and 40ms on East, this is EASHL specific .
In VS/HUT, you have no idea who's hosting the game.
I honestly dont think it really matters. If one of the guys has a horrible connection, both players are going to suffer.
Everyone on my team was East except me and the other team had QC in their name. Safe to say they were East as well lol.
You're only going off of one game?
Yes - although the person with the terrible connection, who's presumably used to playing with lag, will cope better. Regardless, this is why P2P is a bad choice, especially given this series' crappy matchmaking.
No, we played a couple more that night. I remember this team vividly compared to the others we played. P2P is probably not the answer but I just wanna play this game again without delay. They've had 3 games to figure this out and we still have no progress.
Horrible idea, although I get why you think otherwise.
Imagine if this were like COD, every single time the host quits, you would get a "migrating to new host" or whatever. Would be a nightmare seeing as 6vs6 usually finishes like 2vs1 or whatever. Point is, would be a nightmare for EASHL dropins, and certain club games if a host loses connection.
