Solo Challenge Question - Tips On How To Beat AI On Hard Difficulty??

In Ultimate Team, Solo Challenges, UFC 200-202... does anyone have any tips on how to beat Woodley, Diaz, etc, on hard & insane difficulties?! They all seem way overpowered. What's the best game plan for beating these guys? I'm getting thrashed every time. Please don't say "practice".

Thanks guys

Lead side kick is the most effective defensive attack against the A.I. when it's in attack mode that I have found. When they close the gap it turns into a knee. You should always try to fit that it in.

Edit: Added a video of the first 30 seconds of a division 8 Single Player Championship fight showing lead side kick in action. I didn't show it, but the stopping power of it allows you to slip in and get off a quick combo, then get out.

Woodley - I think I Thai clinch spammed him. Equip Thai clinch, and as much +6 CCON +3 TDD as you can fit in. Try to get as many 3 dots as you can in striking, Don't worry about what. If you have choices try to go with power. Hopefully that will give you some room to fit in the CCON TDD in grappling. Don't walk into punches, but go for Thai clinch as much as you can. Once you have it, deny the first transition out, then spam the gut. Rinse and repeat.

Diaz - It looks like I did the same thing on him.

As a general rule when ever you have X amount of bronze/silver cards always start with perks. Next go to Boost slots in the case of silver. Some of the high end limited use are almost on par with golds.

also, i never get any perks that suit my style, man. I've been working on getting that perm el guapo perk, & i have 3 of the 4 completed but getting beat in the 5th round of 4 fights in a row zaps my drive.

Thai clinch spam will work on that as well, and get you stuns. You can also knee from side control to drain stamina (counts as body kicks by the way). and get stuns from Thai clinch elbow strikes, or body kicks when there body is low.

    Edit:

As a general rule, knees count as kicks.

    Edit 2:

For Diaz if you have arm triangle submission with SUBO or TOP, you can go 2 +6 SUBO +3 TOP, and 2 +6 TOP +3 SUBO. Take him down. It may take a few attempts. Do it when you have grapple advantage. Just FYI holding block gives up half a bar of grapple advantage. You will also need one take down equipped.

Once you have him down, transition to side saddle. Deny his transitions until he is close to or out of stamina. Slap on the arm triangle. Push 3 stages then let him go. Unlike most escapes from a 3 stage submission that put you in a submissive position this one puts you in dominant side control. Diaz's head health should be close to zero, so one elbow strike will KO him. This will easily keep you under the strike cap per round.

    Edit 3:

Added a video showing the Diaz explanation. Notice the head health when we end up in side control.

Man, thanks a lot for sharing that knowledge. i truly appreciate it. 1 thing I need to know - how do you get better at denying clinch & ground positions? i know the controls.. im proficient at every ufc game ever made. im 75-70 on ultimate team ultimate championships.. 109-28 on single player.. level 5. not the greatest but i can play minus ground.. im good enough to get up 98% of the time.

On a positive note, I just bought a Russia Pack & got a gold Khabib.

    Nice pull man.

I am 100% new to UFC games. It took me about a month and a half to get fully comfortable with stand up, clinch, and ground games. One of my first posts in these forums was complaining to @SkynetUFC that UT Single Payer Championship was inaccessible to me. I was getting murdered at division 4. He said they were working on it, but there was no time frame, and I thanked him for looking into it for me.

I know you don't want to here this, but practice. I spent 2-3 weeks bouncing between tournament mode, and practice mode. Frequently I would jump back to UT and test out new things. Some worked, but most didn't, LOL. Eventually things came together though, and honestly I'm glad I had to work for it. Makes me appreciate where I am now more.

Ground game is easy once you know the tells, but there is so many of them it's not an easy task. I wish practice mode was like training camps in career mode so you could focus on one position at a time. It would make learning it so much easier.

There are a lot of good ground game tutorials out there. I like Panda Gaming's personally. This a link to his channel.

Hopefully you can pick up the tells from the videos, skip practice mode, and go straight to applying it to UT.

I'll utilize Practice Mode. LOL thanks man.

In trying to get setup to spam thai clinch, I realized I don't have a thia clinch card! 371 total cards & no muay thai. i have bronze single collar & a bronze single collar whip. i also have a gold core clinch moves, but again, no muay thai clinch. crazy.

are you on xb or ps?
