Failed to retrieve data - HUT

I earned a HUT Champs collectible through the qualifiers and the animation pops up on my HUT screen saying "Congratulations..." but everytime I go to press A to accept it, the game gives me a "Failed to retrieve data" error code. I've try clearing my cache, hard-resetting my xbox, closing application, etc. I contacted EA support but they gave me 0 help.

I really just need an EA specialist to go into my account and remove the collectible from my account. Any other tips would be appreciated

  • Qualified for champions league 20 went and collected the collectible to able to play in the league last night and when I went to completed seasons it showed me the results of qualifier #2 for season 20 and I was in 365 or something like that, it showed me the reward which was the collectible and then kicked me out of hut. Now every time I try to go into hut I get the same failed to retrieve data msg with an error code, I signed in with my kids account and no problem so something glitched out when I went to collect it please help me, I've reinstalled the game, I've reset my modem open up all the ports needed for nhl 18 on my modem and still nothing.
  • I have literally the exact same issue and support has been beyond terrible

    Please keep us posted with however it gets resolved

    Bro I'm havi g the same problem

    Have you resolved it yet?
    Support is a joke I've spent hours with this 3rd party company ea is using they should be ashamed to be associated with these people

    I've merged your threads together as it seems that you are all encountering a "Failed to retrieve data" error in HUT. If that's not the case please let me know.

    We've had some scattered reports on this and we escalated it to our game team, if we have any more information on this we'll be sure to let you know first. Thanks for sharing all of the troubleshooting you've done & for trying these steps in the first place, this is extremely helpful.   • Same here and nothing seems to fix it. I’ve read it’s an error on EA’s part?

    @Juhien & @RMasters95, can you let me know if you are able to play a single game before the crash occurs or not? Since when have you been running into this issue? Does it occur sporadically or every time you try to play?
