So they did it again.

The Beta was near flawless gameplay wise and now it's terrible. Button delay is back for me and my guy turns better than '18 but still horribly. Good job EA. I guess you'll never get it right.

I'm so disappointed, I liked the Beta so much i deleted 18 and have literally been counting the days to get my hand on the game. For the first time in my life, I actually put in a preorder. I sadly think I'll be cancelling, I simply can't do another year of playing on this delay.
Same. I haven't seen any puck pickup issues and the game was playing extremely smooth. I'd argue gameplay was even tighter than the beta.
I think its always been clear that not everybody is affected by delays. So "disagreeing" is perhaps not a valid stance here although sharing that you haven't encountered these problems is good to know.
Since I have been affected by fatmanlag almost every year myself, I fear that I may also be stuck with that lag. But there is really no surprise here to me since they never claimed they fixed this issue or even reproduced it. I just hoped that the new skating would help mitigate it.
The beta finally felt great (except for one game I played my buddy in versus and he has terrible internet).
The one stream I did watch yesterday the players did look a lot slower...
I seriously doubt there are more players playing the EA early access on xbox only than there were in the beta playing on both platforms? I suppose it's possible, but is it likely? But if there are issues, I would look elsewhere.
Fingers crossed this won't be another NHL18 all over.
Unless you're on ps4
Far as I know PS4 does not restrict game rentals. If so, then you just educated me.
Where do you go for game rentals?
Far as I would guess any video club store in your area should have a game rental section.
Just look for places that rent movies in your area and inquire. Should be pretty straightforward results I would imagine. All you need is proof of ID and address and they make you a member.
There are like 4 places within 3 miles from my home that rent games.
Smaller towns in the US don't really have these anymore. Ever since Blockbusters shut down, not many places have even tried. We have one place near me, but it's a 45 min drive. RedBox is the closest thing I have, but I don't think they have video games. But I am buying the game anyways, so I suppose it doesn't matter for me haha
Are you guys running on wi-fi? Is the respone time on your tv more than 20ms?
RedBox near me does indeed have video game rentals, however, them having NHL in there might be another question.
Usually they will have at least 1 copy of every new game that is somewhat popular. In my area, NHL games are easily 12 copies available, if not more. Couple months later they sell them $40 used when the rentals start dropping.
Try to find a redbox kiosk in your area they're usually tucked in with pharmacies, grocery stores and gas stations. If you go to the redbox website they have a map with locations for their kiosks assuming they have available in your area.
