The Hitting Improvements Have Been a Game Changer. Thank you

On the defensive side of the ice, there have been drastic and subtle changes that have drastically improved the experience.

I really like the balance of things.

I'm a bit iffy on the stick lift for the simple fact it's definitely more forgiving, however, if a forward is careless and I'm positioned with proper leverage, then yes, a stick lift should be an automatic steal.

I'm also a little bit iffy on the interceptions. Sometimes a pass gets through that I think never should have, also, on the flip side, I see a wide open passing lane and my pass gets intercepted, even when it seems like the back checking forward or dman was in an extremely poor position.

All in all, Defence is fun. There are a lot and I mean a lot of bad forwards who don't know how to play the build they pick. They know very little about leverage.

Just throwing out another thank you. It's ok to say something positive once in a while. No need to kill or trash my opinion. I have seen a lot of that on the forums reading through threads.

  • This isn't how hitting is in real life. The hitting is way over the top aka arcade.

The hitting in real life would be “over the top aka arcade” if people tried to skate and dangle with out passing like they do in this game.
Also I think you missed the point of this thread...did you even read it?
OP talks about defense as a whole...not just huge open ice checks on a oblivious player... which is what I assume you are talking about...with your ”arcadish” reference.

I think he’s talking about the vacuum effect when going in for a hit making it super “arcadey”

I’ve mentioned this before but you can be at a complete stand still and hold up to hit and as a puck carrier comes near you your guy will vacuum towards them.

I don’t mind a little hit assist when you have speed while gliding but not when you’re standing still. There’s also times when people will be skating backwards then all of a sudden have a sudden burst of speed propelling them forward into a hit which also looks very arcadey. These things also happen on certain one timers too when your skater flys at the puck in a bizarre fashion
