I’m disapointed by your handling of your product

A buisness relation is like any relationship it’s built with time. I give you my moneh you give me a respectable hockey game.

A relationship you clearly have wronged over the years.

I’ve been playing nhl since I was a kid. I stopped buying EA product during gamecube/xbox era because 2k was superior imo.

I came back 09 because of the skill stick and EASHL. You dominated that era of console 360/ps3.

You completely failed at the port. I bought 15 off someone because you didn’t deserve a sale. Bought 16 after a good eashl beta sold at christmas bought it again for like 10 bucks on xbox store. Bought 17 sold it before christmas. Didn’t buy 18 I wanted to speak with my wallet.

I preordered 19 after a great beta and I was afraid that you would scrap quality gameplay with the first tuner like evey freakin’ year. You guys did. You added another layer of surprise and mismanagement by taking away 6 players drop-in attempting to fix it. You just made it worst taking away my main game mode on a fully releases product.

The only thing saving you is what kind of experience I’ll have in the lg. An outside feature (league) to your company.

A third of my friends didn’t came back because they can’t trust a company like you handling a product like this.

Get it together or I’m voting with my wallet again next year.

It shouldn’t have come to this. They ran one week of beta and couldn’t foresee this while me a paying costomer has to go through this. I’ve dealt with smoother release with smaller game companies.

I don’t see why they should get away with this. Games from smaller companies are on constant patches cycle and get things right more often than they do.

Buy ea nhl 19 for 90$ cdn and you’ll get hut, eashl and don’t worry matchmaking we’ll get it fixed by the third week all included.

We keep saying the same thing every year.... It’s become repetitive, tiresome and unacceptable.

  • Ya it’s frustrating...I get that ..but the core game play is brilliant this year. The bugs will be worked out.
I’ve been having a blast playing this game.
The Devs are active in the forums...they made a quick fix for now and will have a major fix soon.

The gameplay is not has brilliant as it sounds. They just gad the same for four years and enhanced skating and hittting. They dumbed down the poke check letting back in the skillzone. This is not enough. It is a game breaking bug for match making. Which they tried to tweak on a live server not on a closed one. They failed and now instead of reverting to what it was (I was getting sixes easy I know a lot of people weren’t though) they left their broken system for their two days weekend break.
I paid 90 dollars canadian for that.

It sure feels like the last tuner of 18 with better first steps in skating.

    Progression is cool.
  • Progression is cool, but screwing up MM is not, amateur move.

You make it sound like EA intended to go out and screw over everyone's experience. Yes it sucks, but EA may have believed the new MM system would have given a better experience for everyone. They even said the system was supposed to find 6v6 games much easier. Unfortunately, this did not happen. I highly doubt the Dev team sat down and said, "Let's really screw over the community this year!"

Hopefully the patch fixes the issue and we don't have to hear about MM issues again anytime soon.
  • You guys allways speak about the Gameplay only. There is a new scouting system, but the rest nearly the same since many years. A good game needs more than this. It needs more realism feel to NHL. Many things are small parts, but could be solved easy to make this game much closer and better.

Man I don’t care about their intention. I care about the result. I pay dollars for a result. I don’t get that result. They are responsible for their course of action and decision making.

I don’t know what you expect when you buy a product from professionals but I don’t expect what I’ve been getting in the last week.

For me it’s mind boggling to try to tweak things on a live client but hey what do I know not much but I did pay the price of a triple a game and not for a game in beta.
  • How can anyone say 19 was a great beta with a straight face? Drop ins only worked 1out of a 100 tries
  • With them making a whole new match making system instead of an old version on the game they should have done a stress test on the final version of the game

Not really sure how I implied they did it on purpose, but at any rate, MM is a key ingredient to making the game playable. If in fact there is a new MM system, it should have been thoroughly tested during beta.

I could live with other problems, no big deal, but MM? Shouldn't be happening.

Sorry, I guess I just read the comment in a different tone. I agree, this should be good day one, but unfortunately this seems to be the norm in video games on release nowadays. Everything always seems to be incomplete. However, VS plays real nice and I haven't had any issues...except for dumb AI at times...

Yes, 09 to 12 were the best days of this title, the size of the community, the cult like following and loyalty to this game was off the charts.

NHL 13 and TPS was a noble and good effort but EA should have realized how people were leaving this game in droves once it became frustrating to play this game and should have immediately went back to what was working.

Here we are now 7 years after NHL 12, new skating this year is much better than TPS, but the game is still a far cry from being the powerhouse game this was back in the glory days of 09 thru 12.
