The puck makes contact with nothing and changes direction mid shot (WANTED puck shots starring Angelina Jolie )

Broken goalie collisions (yes this resulted in a goal)

Broken goalie cover animations/net collisions/clipping issues (This is a mess)
First thing you'll notice is the messy looking wrap around animation where the pucks not even on his stick due to his stick clipping thru the net/goalie and kind of just flows with the net. Now this is where it gets really sloppy, the goalie is desperately trying to cover the puck which is a few inches away and for the life of him cannot seem to grasp the puck, then the AI defender comes to try and save his helpless goalie but instead pushes the puck further into the goalies skates/pad. Still the goalie struggles to cover the puck now that its inside him he should have no problem but to no avail as the shooter recovers from being hit to poke check thru the goalie (hitting the goalie none the less) and scoring. :(

Bad AI after recent tuner (honestly they were this bad before but would at-least try to either block the shot or hit me, now they just let me do as I please)

The DSS is still not reliable at blocking passing lanes. I have no clue why my guy doesn't either grab the puck or swat at it. The DSS needs to be buffed

The skill stick is exactly that a skill stick its all manual movements. Your player will not pick up the puck if you are holding the button down. What they claimed to fix and I still see issues with is if I hold the stick left or right then press R1 so I can aim where I want my stick to cover my player trips the opponent then quickly glitches to where I wanted the stick to be in the first place. Just precision skate in the passing lane you'll pick the puck up 9/10. If you wanna take a risk crouch block as long as no one is withing 5 ft of you or you'll trip them.

Yeah I know what it is, my complaint is that it needs to do more and I guarantee you if I was in that same scenario and wasn’t holding my DSS the puck still would’ve passed right thru.

You should be able to pick off passes with your DSS and also knock pucks away. It’s manual so I manually aimed it up knowing they would try to feed it thru me and since this game only wants you to be able to steal passes by skating idle I get punished for doing too much. It’s a joke I honestly don’t understand how me using my DSS to manually move my stick to block a passing lane is not considered “skill” but skating idly back and having the game do everything else is?

I just want to be in more control over scenarios and not leave it up to the game to decide if my guy wants to reach for a puck or not. I should be able to aim my stick out to get my skater ready to block a pass, not only will this give visual cues on to what lane I’m blocking off but will also give the puck carrier a better decision on wether to shoot or pass.

  • I’ve had numerous passes go right through my stick blade with it manually extended to knock down passes in the passing lanes. You’re gonna tell me that’s not skill, but just being ideal and in the passing lane is!! Lmao
  • How does the puck not hit the defender. That is amazing how that works.

No they actually don’t. Just because there’s no reply doesn’t mean they haven’t seen/read anything

You missed the puck. Next time you do these type of videos you gotta zoom in to see if the puck was touching or not. Also DSS is a manual mode so it won't pick up the puck unless it's directly onto the stick. It's meant to break up passing lanes and not exactly intercept but help lead to them.

I know I missed the puck... my issue is exactly what you just said “DSS is a manual mode so it won’t pick up the puck” I disagree with this and would like to see the DSS be more useful in intercepting pucks.

I wont ever agree with how the DSS is and feel like it needs to be able to intercept passes. Give the defense more tools not limit them.

  • That's fine how you feel. I'm the exact opposite of what you feel. I always believe offense but always trump defense to make the game worthy of playing. And I'm a goalie so ya I welcome the pain.

So your argument is you like the defense being underpowered? I’d like the game to take a different direction then the same over powered offense every year (and I play as a 5”8 163 dangler) the defense needs more tools and the new DSS is useless because if you’re holding it down you won’t intercept pucks so the logical thing to do is skate idle and float near players. That’s not skillful that’s leaving the game up to chance and your Defense awareness stat... you should not be punished for holding your stick out and preparing your skater to block an incoming puck...

There is no argument. You like things one way and I like them another. Obviously when I read all the tweets and other things about defense being too good it speaks volumes. People want to be the hero more often than not getting the fancy goals and such.

Watch Edmonton play against the Bruins and it shows how even a defender trying to use his stick gets burned on a cross crease because the pass is simply not where the stick is.

But you got your idea of what makes a great game better and I have mine. I'm sure there is right and wrongs on both sides.

I read most of everything on these boards. When you wrote this post, I was dropping my son off at school though. Sorry about that.
  • I was just playing NHL and was playing Bruins @ Blues but Bergeron was not 37 but instead 12 it really irritates me.

Thanks if you can fix it.
