I’ve noticed that when I use left trigger to look towards the puck it’s either extremely delayed or not 100% angled towards the puck carrier. Anyone else notice this?
Vision Control has been poor for a while. It used to square you to the puck so well.
The last couple years it just squares you North/South on defense. I wish they could make it square you to the puck better.
Yes yes yes, totally agree! Heck even at the start of the season I felt it squared me up to the puck better then this latest patch. It says in the patch notes “improvements made to vision control while pivoting” it seems buggy while pivoting in my opinion. Almost glitchy... sometimes I’ll have it held and I’ll be following the puck and all of a sudden my guy keeps staring off into the crowd not following the puck at all. only played about 10 games on the new patch but not impressed so far as a D man it’s one of our biggest tools. Gonna keep an eye on it see if I lose it on the pivot maybe that’s what’s causing the deer in headlights stare to the fans!
I haven't noticed any issues. That being said. I don't use it unless I'm trying to score.
It's useless when playing defense. The default setting works fine without doing it manually.
Cant disagree more. If you want to play D at a competitive level, VC is crucial.
Yes I agree it's not squaring up to the puck well while on D, especially in defensive corners. I think it has to do with also wanting LT/VC to skate you backwards and the game doesnt know which of those 2 actions to prioritize or how to blend them.

There is an option to turn off the auto back skate in the options, this is a must for D men in my opinion. If they use vision control 90% of game as I do turning off the auto backskate feature really helps the accidental spinnarammas and allows you forward skating when you want it not when it decides to let you.
I have noticed you regularly have to release and press VC for better puck tracking. For some reason it's as if you need to 'reset' VC by releasing and pressing VC.
The last year vision control worked as intended/perfectly was in NHL 12.
Vision control had been removed or broken from NHL 13 thru NHL 18.
NHL 19 vision control is the best it's been since NHL 12, not as good as 12 but better than 13 thru 18. Please keep tweaking vision control so it faces the puck when you want to, not kind of face it, but boom! on a dime, face the puck when you LT, like NHL 12 did.
Actually, it's required. Anyone who plays D worth a rat's rear end uses it constantly.
Actually there are a fair amount of times where I prefer not to use VC as in some cases I find it hinders me. I would be willing to say I use it 50% of the time, especially when the puck is down low or someone is charging the crease.

I guess when I said "constantly", I mean it's every game, and a good portion of it.
Yet fifa has a ton of button combinations and moves 6 ways to call for a pass yet NHL controls are equivalent to controls from 2009. Its pathetic. L2 has been messed up since they got rid of the double tap L2 to skate backwards was taken out in I believe 2014.
