So, EA, how you making out on the Legends?

It’s been over 2 months since you gave us the empty and meaningless “we’re working on it”.

Pretty frustrating that the main reason I bought the game, is stopping me from enjoying the game.

First they need it to milk in HUT, than it will come. The same as the Digital Jerseys. Easy to implement in Franchise. For example to take legends in later drafts with young age ( option button when start a career in Franchise with or without Legends ) or that you can add them to a Team directly with younger age. I feel with you mate.
  • Want this bad also....
  • The silence is what bothers me the most.
  • Im constantly checking the forums JUST so I can post on this issue. its only reason why I preordered, otherwise I would've waited for a sale
  • Agreed^

They're answering all these questions on dumb HUT cards on Twitter, but nothing on one of the pure basis of their marketing ploys, the legends.
  • Just curious, where did they say "they are working on it" ?

Shortly after release. Flop tweeted about it a few times.

Several people did on the Dev team, its just a huge bummer because EA NHL use to be like a hockey festival while playing it.. and now it just feels bland :/

Legends would've been the real savior for offline gamers.
  • Over 2 months now. Just truly unbelievable. AAA developer? Give me a break.

You mean this one? "We're working towards it" ? Because I think Tylers pretty clear they want to get them in franchise mode but doesn't say that would be this year.

I do care about legends, me and my boy play offline franchise. One player is player lock and the other controls the team. We take turns controlling and legends is why I bought it. Not hut, not three’s, not EASHL and definitely not online vs!!

I agree with you here in that I believe Tyler is pretty clear that EA is working on getting the Legends in Franchise Mode. However, I think what most of us are having an issue with is there hasn't been an update on the status/timetable for when that will happen. I'm viewing the Legends topic in the category of "controversial" and when something is controversial, people want information, especially paying customers.

Realistically, what is the date of the last time anybody affiliated with EA posted any sort of an update on the Legends issue? EA literally markets the game on Legends being a part of the experience and for there to be no update of any sort, for something that many, many people are asking about, says something to the point I make below...

Right now we can only speculate. Personally, I speculate that the reason we're not being given an update is because the answer won't be one that will sit well with many players. Meaning, that the reason they haven't been released for offline gaming (Franchise, Season, etc;) is because they want to release the bulk of the Legends in HUT/Online modes first so some players aren't tempted as much to stop playing online (since it's the only way to use Legends in a statistic-generating sense at the moment). And the reason I lean that way is because there are some of us who pretty much bought the game to use the Legends how we see fit. If my speculation is correct, releasing Legends in the offline modes now gives a large group of people the option to play with them the way they want and not exclusively online, thus EA possibly losing some HUT/Online players. The "play now" option doesn't track stats and I think a lot of people were hoping for that option.

Again, pure speculation on my part and I am in no way stating this as fact and I will happily concede my opinion if I'm wrong...but this is what happens when there is no communication on a controversial topic like Legends.

    Just my two cents.
  • First they need to milk the cow in Hut, then they will come. It’s surely not a big problem to bring them in Franchise mode. I guess they will come later un an update, if not NHL EA will lose many customers. They know that !
  • From what I remember it was stated Legends would be available in all modes. I don't see how that would exclude a mode, which is franchise.

I thought about this when FIFA got rid of creation centre, and it was a huge bummer.
but it won't work with NHL, they don't call hockey a lifestyle for nothing. if you take a bit of hockey away, even as small as this, it ruins everything.

The fact that developers are ignoring this thread on purpose yet answering questions on puck bags with goalie stick tape colors makes me absolutely sick.

How about don't show legends in-game lifting the Cup in your promotional materials, which is something I'd only be able to do if I had legends in franchise.
