Sit and spin
Sit and spin, that is what this game has become. It's not hockey, you can't actually play hockey. In Hut an 80 has the same skill as a 90 so what's the point in upgrading. The people that cry for the glitch goals every year and ruin the game did it again, now it's just glitch goal city because they are too lazy to play hockey. Rather than adapt they whine and you give in to it every year.. You just have to skate in a circle, wait skate in, short side and 9 out of 10 times it's a goal. Why would I want to do that for even 2 minutes a day. This game was great at launch and now it is more dumbed down than I have ever seen it and I've been playing longer than most on here. Just why? Its stated all over this forum exactly what I am saying in one way or another and invariably one of these no talent hacks come on and say adapt. They couldn't so you had to dumb it down to the point a blind untrained monkey can score if it just does the same thing over and over and over again. Put stick lift and tripping where a penalty is possible and for God sake shut down the toe drag. Sit, spin, short side is not a hockey game. Yet that is what this game has become because a vocal minority could not be bothered to actually play the game. I'd rather be playing actual hockey than wasting my time begging for an actual hockey game to the people that took it away.

What the developers don't seem to get is people don't usually hang out on forums so much in the beginning if the game is good, they are playing it. I think if they reverted it back to just prior to pokecheck spam most players would be Happy in the long run because you would actually be able to play the game of hockey and not just repeat the highest percentage move but be creative in scoring.
On Hut it's worse because it defeats the purpose of building a team as it doesn't matter. They will just repeat the same move over and over. Toe drag spin for an opening and shoot short side. Boom, glitch goal on any goalie rating doesn't matter.

Here's the two main ways to score in 19:
1. Drive to the net with forehand to backhand move. Works every time.
2. Skate across the slot and shoot top corner far side.
Congratulations, you just learned how to play NHL 19.
And here's the way to counter with defense:
1. Stand still on the spot on the ice where the short side glitch goes in. Literally just stand there.
2. Hang back extremely far. Don't ever give up a break way because 100% of the time your opponent is going backhand and goalies CANNOT ever stop it.
Sounds fun right? Sounds like real hockey right? Good luck trying to hit the low speed spinners and and LT tappers.
Unrealistic Gameplay: It's In The Game.
NOT!
I agree with all of you. The game is crap. Entering the offensive zone and trying to force short side snipes and cross creases every time is not hockey.
Needs more dynamics big time!
Well, NHL 19 had that when it came out but the guys at some stupid league found it hard to score so we are back to 18 again.
This is the skill Gap the devs say these new tuners created ...game is garbage since these tuners
NHL 19: short side snipes edition
One timer's you do need to shoot left when the pass is slow. Thats it.
I used to love playing Defense in EASHL. No better feeling than shutting down another human player, making him feel helpless. This year? I refuse to play D, it isnt enjoyable in the slightest. 2 spots on the ice to defend, screw that. The only fun for me is being the forward twirling in the corner to come out to crosscrease/shortsidesnipe, or the forward looking for breakaways. And thats only fun for a few games a week.
boom, mic drop
I think that's the way a lot of players feel, teams are always looking for D because everybody hates playing it.
They should have left it the same and just lengthen the period times.
And keep "arcade" mode for people who wanna dangle and make 4 min period. The sim guys can play 5-7 min periods?
I'm all for that , because this game with it's current tuners is trash and it's not fun to play at all ,and most importantly it's not the game we paid for
