NHL 19 = worst NHL yet

This game is complete garbage and the worst part is the Devs don’t even listen to the community. The stick checking overall needs to be fixed. It’s like the players are timbit hockey players (Kindergarteners). The ice tilt is absolutely extreme in HUT so your better off to not even upgrade your team past rare golds. I’ve played nhl since NHL 93 and frankly since 16 I’ve had hopes that they would turn the corner. They wonder why the game is dying....listen to the community and/or maybe actually watch hockey

  • Lol you mean like a base Charra or Hedmen skating just as fast as a 94 Sackic or being able to pull of the same dekes

Exactly! Like a 70 Ovr goalie makes the same saves as a 90 I’ve goalie. Don’t even get me started on the EASHL cpu goalies....

  • Except they do not.

I think this game is way more fun than any of the modern NHL games I’ve played (16-19).

There are many recurring problems with this series over the past decade. I'll happily admit that the gameplay this year is by far the best, so good work there. But it blows my mind how year after year, CPU players (especially goalies and defenseman) play absolutely nothing like human beings. It's like EA is proud of their CPU creations and refuse to make their hand-eye coordination, reaction time, and positioning anything close to a human beings playing the game. I'm generally okay(ish) with the defenseman, but it's unearable playing CHEL drop-in bc everybody quits when a CPU goalie is involved. I've literally had goalies quit games bc the other goalie quit and that was the only way to give our team a chance.

Also, the ranking system is so counter-productive and overly simplistic. First of all, more (WAYYYYYYY MORE) needs to be done to discourage people from quitting games. Ppl quitting literally destroys the experience, and EA clearly has no interest in making CPU play like humans, so it's immediately unfair. Instead, they put a bandaid on CPU play by making them overly-passive while still maintaining the hand-eye coordination and discipline of a jedi.

Last thing (seriously this time). Bring back some kind of ranking system for couch and co-op play. Theres literally no reason to play with friends anymore, and EA is so bad at making CPU human-like, it's pretty much never an advantage to play with somebody else anyway.

The gameplay is, but with Tuner 1.0 in offline mode. There is a fog of war scouting, but the rest since years nearly the same. About past, old generations they removed many things like an All star game, better statistics named by Teams not NHL or AHL. They do one step forward, two step back. For me it is clear ...... this game should have fresh blood from a new developer Team and plz remove all this gamechanger. They have bad influence to this game. Question .... How many people work in Art department ? Since years we have same goalie masks, every year about 20-30 player likenesses only, very rarely they adding equipment and Jerseys to the game. Thats very less work or do they work only for new HUT cards ?
