Every Defender Will Agree on This

For next year we need EFFECTIVE, CONSISTENT tools and new animation blends for net front battles.
No more standing in slot hoping and praying the rebound comes to us.
Let us effectively box out.
Let us effectively tie up.
Let us have new animation logic specifically for trying to keep puck out of net when our goalie can't cover.
Net front presence right now, is EXTREMELY poor. Offence know they have the upper hand.
I would highly suggest reworking that for Nhl20 and improving and expounding on the area.
Thanks

Yup. Exactly what I meant when I said add in more animations/animation blends
Forget about the guy slashing through my body. I just want to throw the puck without pucking it up. I tired to pick it up. But my guy couldn’t.
I know I could have puck chopped, but I seem to have bad luck whenever I do when its there so I stopped.
Agreed! Chop used to be my go to ...to get the puck out of the danger zone quickly.
It’s just sooooo wonky now
One, the defense is too good at suppressing shots as it is. Just clog the middle and get in the shooting lane give em an angle and they will be saved you only see high scoring from bad players or lucky shots. The only time this is different is VS where they did the right thing by making you have to play the puck. So at least some games in VS are played like real hockey however, it just resorts to who can get the most slot shots or one times for a chance at a goal.
Two, the offense isn't speedy enough to make it hurt when the dman makes a bad play.
Simple and really has nothing to do with making Dmen such as myself more effective than we already are. In 25 games in LG I gave up 46 goals. There is something wrong there when I'm playing against top lines most games.
