Where does EA stand on this?

Prev13
Is the puck ragging being dealt with? Is there a place to report this? Seems like every time I crack top 200 in the HUT Champions I get this garbage. Clearly those that are doing this aren't being deterred from doing this since it appears there is no recourse.

  • EA wont do anything about it, this has been going on since the start of HUT. The more you cheat and play lame hockey, they more elite you become. This game is pathetic but even more so, the people who play it like that are pathetic losers
  • Nothing will ever be done about it. The only real thing you could add to potentially fix this is a sort of shot clock and that suggestion was just met with cricket chirps
  • Nothing. Been going on for years. One reason I stopped playing HUT. For such a small community the NHL series has, it sure has a lot of cheaters:
  • This is also another reason I stopped playing hut and went to play VS instead
  • This is also another reason I stopped playing hut and went to play VS instead

There are idiots in VS to though, this really isn’t EA’s fault, you can’t put a shot clock in hockey. This is all on the morons that do it so they can feel good about themselves for winning video games, probably their greatest achievements in life.
  • Puck ragging in this game is a joke and always has been. The bubble hitting doesn't make things any better either.

My eyes are bleeding after watching that, I know that feeling and it's not a good one. It's one of the most frustrating things in any game I've played to date.

Plenty of top 100 guys are doing it. Everytime I match up with them, I back out. Once in a while I had to deal with it in 18 but this year, it's happening at a tenfold rate. It's a really big problem this year.

I put a lot of blame on the recent tuners nerfing the defensive tools. It pretty much ruined this game.

don't forget the nerf player switching only compounds it as well.

Fix the hitting and skating back to beta solves it all... end rant
  • It's bush league for sure, but is it really "cheating"?

Yes you're right but not as much as you see in hut in my opinion ,and also agree yes they morons and a few other things

    What 'nerf'?

player switching has been one of the successes of NHL 19 over '18. It's night and day.

Not to mention you can manually switch players using RS.

I'd also like to add that players who do this should be punished.

Controlling the puck and dominating possession is one thing - skating back to your net , circling around in your own zone and killing that clock should land you in the special place in hell reserved for morons like that.

  • I see clips like this and get reminded as to why I don't play online. Why would I want to deal with such idiocy when I can just as well hop into franchise mode and play the CPU and get more enjoyment out of it because unlike some human players the CPU actually plays a sport that somewhat resembles hockey.

In short, people like this fool are the reason I don't play much online.

Thankfully, I don't need random internet people to agree with me that something is a success in order to claim that said success is true. I'm not about to go find "who is saying" anything because it doesn't really matter. I feel that the player switching took a MASSIVE step forward in NHL '19.

I believe you can simply look at the number of threads discussing player switching issues last year compared to the number of threads this year... it's not even close.

Sorry, I'm on the other end of this. It's a total nightmare, it's cost me games. A simple switch should not take me in control of a player that is no where near the puck. I can't tell you how many times I've thought I was controlling one player only to find that I was controlling a player no where near the puck, skating into the boards going away from the play no less. Lots of threads about player switching being a nightmare. Even the manual switching is nerfed, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. The only positive that has worked consistently is switching to last skater.
