I used to think there were different tuners for HUT/VS and EASHL. Turn's out, it was not it was all due to P2P.
Please, can we have this for VS aswell? ...Please?

Can't believe I played so many years of HUT in sluggish games every time that I played less local opponents.
Now, it seems like every games is crazy fast. I feel the speed of my players for real now.
I have a lot of penalties because my timing is so off now that it is so fast.
I actually just played my first HUT games online over the past few days. 99% of the time has been fairly smooth. The last game I played, felt like I was playing against someone super far away. My connection to the server showed 25 ping, but it felt like I was playing on 75. Ended up winning, but it was a chore. Think it was a Quebec team, as the gamer tag had Habs in it.
All in all, throw in a region lock, and I think for the majority, the servers are a better option. The outlier cases will unfortunately have issues based on the reality that increased distance from server will result in increased latency.
Are there any servers in Europe? I just played a game and the ping was ok:ish (25ms on a personal 1Gbit fiber), but turning took so much time and it felt completely disconnected. You have to add servers in Europe. I am in Finland personally.

That was exactly my experience as well, 25ms lag and horrible input lag. Also often when I lined up a big hit nothing happened which was clearly a lag issue. It felt like playing with tanks, not nimble hockey players.

Yea same here. Horrible input delay the last few games. Thought it was my connection until I came on here and saw hut is on servers now. I never had input delay and very rarely lagged let alone have it happen like 5 straight games.
I played three more games and I think this may be it for HUT for my part. I’ve poured a lot of money into it and the game is unplayable now.
The puck physics glitches out all the time due to the lag so there’s no control over anything. And poke can’t be used at all because the lag is so high that it always hits the feet, and deking is also impossible. But what’s worst is that every pass is so delayed so there’s no rhythm to anything.
I may come back to this game when EA adds servers in Europe or reverts back to P2P. It’s just a shame because I liked HUT and used quite a lot of money, that EA made it unplayable.
are the dedicated servers permanent ? if so i quit. i want a refund. the game is not playable from Australia. i will never buy an EA sports game again and it pains me to say that because i play every day since launch

Nothing was said about it either way, I don’t see why they would make the change on a temporary basis. Hopefully they ad more servers to the areas needed, I live in BC Canada, so if they are EA servers? I’m assuming they have some at EA Burnaby or somewhere in the area. My games have been 100% better since the switch. Now we Just have to wait till the retuning after the beta run, if EA can get everything balanced correctly? We will have a very good game, if they get it right.
God I hope they get it right.
Also a strange note. I'm from Finland and usually when i have input lag it's against other Finns or Swedes. Games against Germans/Chzechs have been input lag free so far.
Well, I played a handful of versus yesterday and it seems the input delay has somewhat disappeared? It feels more responsive to me at least but not jumping to conclusions yet.

The server change was only for hut.
I know. But I wonder if it had an affect on server load. Going to play more soon to confirm.
