Yesterday we had a EASHL club game where we were leading 6-1 after the second period, and while waiting for the third period to begin, we waited for a really long time for the puck to drop, and had to watch the crowds for like 15 minutes. Then we got 'lost connection' and a win.
I am guessing the other team bugged out during the intermission, but don't you normally get the 'lost connection' straight away? What caused the long delay? Was it simply due to the intermission? Did the other team wait too until they got bored and exited?
We had quite a few cases like this in NHL17 or 18, but this was the first time this year.

My guess is the other team was waiting for you guys to quit and get the free win. Most likely they gave up and quit after 15 minutes.
Curious thing last weekend on Sunday: half of our team was able to login with the EA server, so they got in our EASHL club dressing room without issues, the rest got unable to connect to EA servers or similar error. It seems there were big issues with EA servers at the time (Apex, FIFA etc), in Europe at least.
But how come some of us can connect, and some don't in this case? If the servers are down, they're down for everyone, you'd think?
It wasn't due to our network service providers, we had various and two guys with the same provider had different result, one could connect, and one couldn't?

It was a global issue with EA Servers. What was weird was that resetting your xbox, or game in some cases, seemed to allow you to connect. The servers are a complete mess, and have been since the end of September (with a few weeks here or there where they seem to run cleanly). Single biggest issue with this game, and i have no doubt that they will not get it right for next year either.
Sorry, can you wtite ip adress host NHL20 in Europe? This the information is needed to test for my provider to configure the minimum route to the server and reduce the ping.
@Devs of Ea, is there any possibility to get a Server in Germany ? It’s not fair having a 40-50 ping and playing someone who sucks at this game with an 8 ping and beats me. Makes no sense. It doesn’t matter how good your players are you ll lose anyway. It would better if there would be peer to peer. For many years I belong to the top players in the world, but I never seen such a nonsense like this before.
I am located in NW Florida, will I use the new server?I,also have a ping of 80ms constant,i have a DL speed of 454ms and upload of 50ms ,shouldn't my ping be much lower? It's high with the new update

You'll be put on NA servers. Have you tried anything from your side to help improve connectivity, such as rebooting your network and console? If you haven't done that lately it's worth a shot. It refreshes your connection which can work out any pre-existing issues with the last sync you had to our servers.

Been seeing this more and more myself lately.
