Lag all of the sudden

Anyone else notice this? Suddenly my usual 20 ping is at 32 now and was even flatlining at 120 for a game. We were all experiencing it last night. Something must have happened with the new update? Get your crap together EA.

last night was really bad. Had similar experiences, and other teammates also had the flatline 120 ping for a game. Bad server experience really ruins the game like nothing else.

My ping has been normal but I have noticed more input delay in the past 3 days.

Absolutely horrible. My ping used to be 6 and on good connections it's now 13. So at the best it's doubled. The bad connection goes all the way up to 80 and the game is unplayable.

The 6 to 13 is just showing the true ping. The 6 was always 13, it just displayed half its value.

The 80 is probably playing on the server furthest from you, or if it's VS, just someone further away. It would have been. 40 for you previously(visually only).

The servers have been sluggish the past few days, but I'll bet 6 to 40 was your old range.and would be identical to 13 to 80 you now see.

Noticed sluggishness in Online Versus and EASHL since the weekend.

I dont believe that this is showing the true ping all of the sudden. I am feeling the lag. I am feeling a huge different between my 16-18 ping that us now 33-35. The last two nights of playing have been awfully laggy which reflects this new ping.

Lag? No way? Really? More then one person? Must be our internet boys!

Funny I called my isp yesterday and it’s the biggest in western Canada! And the first question outta the techs mouth was “Are you playing NHL by chance?”

Apparently this game has caused a lot of aggravation for many customers and they are well aware of the problems at EA due to an extreme amount of complaints directed at them!

I have fully confirmed with my isp this is absolutely EAs problem yet they still won’t acknowledge this on the forums or give us any update as to why this is going on! Thanks EA SPORTS!

Just because you talked to the script reader at the call center, doesn't mean anything lol.

And Canada's (I'm in Alberta) internet infrastructure is awful. Gets worse out east. Quebec gets good internet because they don't have to worry about funding (that's on us to worry about lol), but outside of them, the roc has trash infrastructure.

What you are seeing and feeling are 2 different things.

Zombie is right. Your 16-18 ping was a visual bug and was only displaying half of what it really was. So that means your true ping numbers were and now display 32-36.

Now you are also getting lag, which has nothing to do with the ping numbers you see (if we take the info EA gave us, they are not related).

So you are just seeing what your true numbers should be, but from what I can see a ton of us are now also getting lag. Looks to be 2 separate things to me.

Definitely something on EA end, the last couple days the Hut has been very slow to respond. Whether it's searching for something in the market place, or searching through your own inventory of players, I'm constantly pushing 1-2 buttons before it loads or acknowledges it, something happened on their servers which is acting up. Although this morning at 2AM the EA Servers went down so maybe they did something to try and fix the issue, but Hut is definitely working more smoother and normal today then it was the last couple days.

I had a 2 day stretch where the game was unplayable. Unplayable in I wasn't able to influence the outcome. My players would do their own thing. The delay was over a second. I had a game where my ping was 150 and spikes to 388. I live just outside Philadelphia. Our Internet isn't THE top of the line, but it's second in line. My ping is always 13 or better. We do medical consultations for a $5B company. It's not my internet I can assure you. Yet EA wants to say it's not them?

For the record, today everything feels normal. I guess my IP got their $#%× together. Yaaaaay!

It will be better soon. As people reach the end game of Anthem and dont want to hit the higher difficulties with the missing health/armor bug in place they will leave and the server draw will go back to normal.

Been flawless all year before that.

Here is an idea tell all the people your pings where wrong all year! Tell them it was showing half of the real ping! The sheeple will believe anything! Then Tell them we added a extra server for you to better your gameplay!! Then add a new popular game to the same servers they use! Then blame them for having cheap internet providers and not having good enough Internet to connect to EA! Sounds about right! No? We’ve been ripped off again ladies and gents! With no responses at all from headquarters! Hmmmmmmmm? It’s not just me @EA ....there is many of us suffering unseen delay and latency issues. We deserve a response! Just One mans opinion....

Holy emotional wreck batman. Breath dude. Breath.

BTW, the ping was a visual bug. Period. How do I know? Because it's been known a long time that the shown ping was a one way number. When I did speed tests to areas close to where the servers are supposed to be, my ping showed about double of what it showed in nhl. Which is now the same as the current ping times I get in game.

Take the tin foil hat off, calm down, and use more logic and less emotion.
