New engine?
Twos?
Be a puck mode?

  • I predict countless debates and arguments about who knows more about hockey.

I am pumped though. Anyone who's been paying attention knows NHL 20 is the culmination of a 5 year plan mentioned during the abysmal NHL 15 season.

Can't wait to see what's in store!

I'm cautiously apathetic lol. If games have taught me anything these last few years its don't have any expectations.

The thing with this series is if you make all the players the same you handcuff yourself for possible eashl innovations. Eashl cant change much, the premise of hut cant change much, franchise cant change a lot. You also cant put "fixed some stuff" or "worked on skating and ai again" on the back of the box to drive sales. I think this series more than most you have to wonder what they could possibly do short of engine/skating/physics overhauls once in a while.

I would like to see a renewed committment to the user experience in online modes:

    Bring back Lobbies.

Remove all pauses and create a pause overlay menu that's intuitive, responsive and allows for things such as camera angle adjustments, timeouts, line changes, etc without pausing the action for all other players. Add more time in-between whistles for menu overlay options to be adjusted. Improve the presentation so that players can be doing 'something' while others adjust camera or strategies: why don't we allow players to skate to the faceoff dot after a whistle? Why not let players set up their own faceoff formation? Allow players to skate to the bench for a TV time out?

Lots of little things that could make between the whistles a little more engaging.

    Not bad ideas.

I would like for human goalies the option to choose my depth in the crease during faceoffs. I would prefer to be deeper in my crease than presently.

We can choose our equipment and something like 40 stances, so why can't I choose my crease depth during a faceoff?

Also, I really hate how the camera has to zoom when I press the PS4 touch pad. Can it just snap to the alternate camera instead of sloooowly zooming between both cameras? Please? Super annoying as a goalie especially.

Oh man you have a good one there - being able to map alternative camera angles to the camera button for OTP/EASHL/BAP.

If I could switch between overhead and broadcast while in EASHL - especially if I’m in the penalty box - yes yes yes. Please yes.

None of these will go on the box but I'm all for fixing a bunch of the little things.

These will all be eashl related and I like the stuff you guys have above.

I'm a freak who plays drop in and signs up as skater. I can play all positions well and switch LH/RH on the fly. But I can tell the game looks at RD first every time. Leave me as skater w/o a position until we fill all the other spots.

If we still have clown gear let us earn packs after p350 if we wont have all gear.

Let a center be able to allow a winger to take faceoffs if hes having a bad game.

When a guy goes afk instead of having him sit there make his guy go for a line change with ai and extend afk time about 1/3 longer before kick.

Stop punishing the RW when the goalie is a griefer and tries starting 37 fights or takes the puck to the nono zone.

If 3 guys get penalties stop making the first guy in become the last guy out.

    Icon passing, nuff said.

Let the timeout be called by anyone on the team, without a pause menu.

Once all positions are filled in lobby change the color of the ui or flash up a big "ready?" or give an audible queue that it's ready up time.

Have goalie levels be separate from skater levels.

Just to throw something new in and add some strategy, let us line change to our other loadouts or at least change them between periods.

Such limited thinking. You serious when you say more can’t be done for gm mode? There is endless things you could do, imagine an actual all star game, world tournament along with the playoffs. Coaches/staff other then scouts that actually do something. So many more things you could do, practices, I would love a way to develop players more naturally then pure rng. Gm mode is just a shell of a mode

I haven't read the rest of the thread but I'm willing to bet having a BR in a hockey game wasn't predicted.....lol..
