"SURPRISE MECHANICS" Reason for lack of development?

No, it's not about DDA or scripting - it's about loot boxes, but it seems EA (and others) are solely focused on defending their business model by spinning it every which way but loose. The worst part is the person they sent to represent them was clearly not ready for such a task.

Have a look, take a listen, give an opinion, but remember to keep it clean and on topic and politely disagree if you do.
So, the main question is: are "SURPRISE MECHANICS" the primary focus of EA's game and is this the reason so little improvement is accomplished? That is to say, the devs have little time to improve the game because they spend most of it trying to increase the efficacy of "SURPRISE MECHANICS"?

How does this have any bearing whatsoever on NHL's development? They could have easily charged for hockey bags in EASHL, but chose not to. I have a feeling EA is pretty sensitive to the loot boxes and are being very careful with how and when they implement them. The primary focus of the devs making NHL is to make a hockey game. Of course one that sells as much as it can, but it's also obvious they're trying to make a solid hockey game by guys that also love the sport.

I don't think the developers take as much time on loot boxes or card packs as people think. It's mostly randomized so I can't imagine it takes much time to randomize such things. I'm sure there is some logic but I don't think it's as time consuming as people think. Once they do something for the first time it takes awhile for EA to revise it unless it's broken. And in this case I'm okay with it.

I would much rather they put their efforts into other aspects of the game. Game play, franchise mode, etc. Randomizing card packs or hockey crates should be far down the priority list.
  • Lets hope...i want a better hockey game.
1.Remove glitch goals from set spots
    2. Stick lift overpowered..im not into fencing or sword fighting
    3. Decrease poke check penalties when it has nothing to do with opponents feet
    4. Improve balance/hitting where its not impossible to move oppponents off the puck when they shield puck

And vooouuu walaaaaa u fixed your game !
    Now was that hard ???
  • 1a) Figure out what causes "fat man lag" and fix it!!
