I guess my question has been answered.
I had asked if a dev could comment on if they intended to add more Alumni players with future roster updates.
Well, we’re now 6 or 7 updates in since release, and no new Alumni have been added, so I guess the answer is a resounding... NO!!!!
Sucks for all of us who care about that kind of thing.

One word: Licensing. That is why despite only playing 36 games Adrian Aucoin is on the Blue Jackets Alumni roster. Even those players in the game who have passed on their estates are or next of kin are getting some sort of Licensing fee.
I’ve looked up all of the real life NHL teams Alumni rosters. There’s lots of players on these teams that aren’t in the game.
I had been wondering if a player just needs to be on a particular NHL teams Alumni roster, or if he needs to be a member of the NHL’s Alumni Association to have his likeness used in a video game. I’m thinking it’s the latter.
It better be that, and not sheer laziness on EA’s part as to why there’s so many missing Alumni players.
Tyler Weiman is on Colorado’s Alumni team and he has a grand total of 16 MINUTES of NHL ice time under his belt.
