User Experience...basically a rant

This just doesn't seem to ever get better. Night after night it's the same thing over and over again.

Start a HUT game and quit early because your players won't move or do things you control them too. Start another game...same thing. Try again, your opponent quits early because their team won't move or do things. Try again and you quit in the first few minutes because EA won't let you touch the puck.

Switch over to EASHL. Can't find a 6 on 6 game so you settle for a 3 on 3. One guy puck-hogs all game doing the same scoring one-handed deke over and over again.

Switch over to team 3s. Spend half the game either hitting somebody or laying on the ice for 30 seconds at a time. Skate around as an all-pro and score the same weak goals over the same elementary goalies.

Switch over to Online VS. One side quits early because of the HUT problem mentioned above OR because one side is jacking the internet connection to gain an unfair advantage. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Turn off the console in disgust and go to bed.

Come on here and vent because there are so many other players with the same problems all the time.

Sound familiar?

  • One thing that helps that people don't particularly know about is an issue with the ps4. If you set your ps4 to sleep mode and head back into the game that was already put into sleep mode, your whole team will suffer from fatman lag (offline and online). If you use sleep mode, close out of the app and reboot it up.

But other than that it's just server issues.

Funny that you mention the PS4 like that. I have played both versions of the game over quite a few years and even with the issues it seems to feel a little better on XB1/360 compared to the PS4/PS3. That sucks too because I prefer SO much more about PS4 over XB1.

This is untrue. Unresponsive controls and forced momentum shifts also exists in offline game modes.

I feel like that's the core problem with this game. Doing things like this to simply remove crispy controls from the player in order to give the opposition a CLEAR AND MARKED advantage is what is turning off so many players to this series of games. This is why there is so much player rage and why 4 out of 5 online games seem to result in one player or the other rage quitting, at least it seems that way when I play.

It's NOT a fun experience when you spend more effort fighting EA's whatever-you-wanna-call-it engine than you do your opponent.
