Each game played earns Battle Points. Battle Points earned are based on several factors:
Difficulty Selected – Earn more Battle Points on higher difficulties
Opponent OVR - Earn slightly more points for beating teams with higher OVRs
Game Outcome – Earn more points for a Win than for a Loss or OT Loss
You’ll also earn bonus points for each Win based on your goal differential (up to +5 goals)
Goals Scored – Earn points for each goal scored (up to 5 goals)
Shots For – Earn points for each shot taken (up to 20 shots)
Here’s an example of roughly the points you’ll earn for a 1-0 Win vs. a 2-1 Loss at each difficulty. As you can see, both winning and difficulty have a huge impact on the number of points earned.
I’ve beat them all on superstar, all 5 team including X2 team, and yet, I’m still not on top rank and I made sure I had more than 20 shots, here’s the screen shot!
When you understand how they play, it get pretty easy, they give you hint at the start of the game, just counter the strategies! Don’t let them near the puck and don’t do cross crease, only if you got a 100% clear pass! Short side goals seems to work well for me
Actually, I also won all my games by more than 5 goals and 20 shots, ended 15th. That was my best rank so far.
Since the opponents are random, you may get more points one week and less the next week if you got weaker opponents. Presuming that you got a perfect score on all the games.
So it's a bit of a lottery for people who got an insane team, got superior skills, or got lucky in some games.
I wish they would grand a bonus for those who replay less games.
I replayed 2 games and was ahead of people with 0 replay... and behind people who replayed 6 or even 7 games.
It does not have to be a lot of points, but it would be more fair.
The team before me was in front by... 1 point.
So let me get this straight.. during the week if I still want more points I can essentially play each team twice and earn let's say 4500 points vs the 1 team rather than just the 2283 ?
What are the best strategies to counter theirs? If you don’t mind me asking?
This is a very difficult question to answer because it depends on the many strategies possible used by the AI and which one you struggle with.
What I personally do when the AI aggressiveness is at high pressure down in the zone... is to work very hard at the beginning to score 1 or 2 goals by using quick passes and the right dekes, or use point shots for D to D goal or rebound.
Then the strategy is likely to change as the AI will need goals.
Or what I do is to get back to my zone and try to score on the rush.
It also depends how your team is built, mine is built to control the puck in the zone. But the superstar AI will bump my big guys away from the puck very easy so that forces me to change a bit my patterns.
Finding openings against an AI using a lot of aggressiveness down in his zone is almost impossible.
So I leave the zone and try to get in with speed and deke or get passed one defender and create an opening.
Maybe I’m mistaken though. I haven’t played SB enough to use the replay. But I’d assumed that was how you could level up further.
If you replay the team with coins, it resets the game, and you lose any points you had earned initially. If you do worse the second go, you can end up with less points.

But I have already play all the game? Still a few hours before refresh

Not everyone gets the same opponents. Most likely those with more points, had teams worth more points than what you got.
Should roll the same teams for everyone Imo.
