Request: Give D-man improved stats for shooting and passing

You come out with some what appears to be good D-man cards until you look at the numbers. You give them low 80's on shot power or accuracy, but they have 80-85 on faceoffs. Why can't you trim some numbers off the faceoff and put them to a shooting or passing stat, you know...something a D-man uses.

  • Thats why I look at all individual attributes. OVR means nothing. That new Housley card is leaps and bounds ahead of that new Gonchar card, yet they’re both 95s

Well, not really though. It depends on what you look for in your defensemen. Housley is smaller, but has better skills overall (shooting and skating). Gonchar is bigger and better at hitting. He’s pretty good in the rest also, just slightly less.
  • Well you look at body checking, Housley’s better. Offensive and defensive awareness at 99? Yeah I’ll take that too. Shot power and accuracy is better too. I’ll take Housley all day. And I’m a Gonchar fan...

Housley is too small for my defense preference. The slightly better attributes in a few areas isn't worth the small body that will get knocked around.
  • Why did you change the name of my title Blueberry? There was nothing wrong with it, well within your rules. You people are just way too sensitive.

To give you a quick breakdown on why it was changed:

It's good practice to make your post title accurately reflect what you want to discuss so you can attract others that are browsing these forums. Most importantly though, it's going to help improve search results. When someone goes on the web and uses a search engine, they're likely going to find a lot of random discussions unrelated to the NHL franchise if someone was to search a post title like you had before "why do you do this EA?" A title like that also tends to come off as "click-baity."

On the other hand, if someone was to search "NHL 20 should have better stats for defensemen" you're likely going to attract more eyes on this post. More eyes means more people willing to comment and express their feedback. More feedback means it will take higher priority at the top of this forum. When a topic here continually engaged in, that represents something the community is more interested in addressing, making it easier for our development team to locate these critical pieces of feedback.

I apologize if my actions were taken out of step and I hope this convinces you that what I did was out of good intentions to help champion your cause. I thought it was a great topic to discuss
