I think I speak for the entire community on this one. Its time we have a dev response to this.
The one question I have is why there is no connected franchise. that is all your fan base has been asking for and you haven't put it in. Do you read the comments on Instagram you tube and twitter? Instead of adding snoop dog and all these other celebrities and a crappy 1v1v1v1 mode why wasnt that time being taken to develop online franchise or better be a pro? we just need to know if you actually listen to us because if you do why dont you do it?

The Gameplay Producer has commented on this in older threads this year. We know it's a highly requested feature and we'll do our best to continue championing for the features you all want to see added to the game. In terms of whether it is planned to be added, that is yet confirmed and if we find out anything around it we'll be sure to let you all know on these forums.
This has absolutely nothing to do with it. If that were true there wouldn't be EASHL, Franchise Mode, Play Now, Online Versus, Be A Pro, etc. There is only one microtransaction option in the game and new modes have been added over the years without them. GMC isn't a mode for everyone, but it has a passionate following. Hopefully, it returns in the future but it's not being held back due to monetization.
This actually caught my eye.
Really curious to hear what criteria the mode should have to qualify to be considered as "for everyone"?
Also how you guys count it?
How do you know something like GM connected is "not for everyone" and 3s, 1s etc people love?
Try to make let's say HUT, 3s or even online VS so poorly that it takes literally 10 minutes to even move from 1 screen to another in menus, let it broken whole year and then come here and tell us how these modes were popular Lol
Geez guys, you can't be serious really.
Franchise mode seems to get more stale and barebones each year. Features to keep the offline player caring about this series dwindles more and more each year because all your efforts go to online features, which make you money. I wouldn't be surprised to see more online only features next version and franchise / Play Now not even get touched.
Roster sharing? All star tournament ? 3v3 tournaments offline? Outdoor arenas? Play those online 3s like battle royal, etc offline?
Will we finally get a balanced game play option based on player ratings? What ratings will no longer matter offline again? Nope. Online and HUT is and will continue to see EAs attention and offline slowly gets faded away
What I meant was that GMC wasn't as popular as other modes. So, it might not be for everyone. Personally, it's not for me, but that doesn't mean I don't want it to be in the game. I know many people really liked it and it's constantly one that is requested by the community. The same goes for bringing the game back to PC. While these requests happen every year, they aren't as common as getting feedback for gameplay improvements. When the dev team looks at what to work on every year, they tend to go with a combination of community feedback as well as what they think will benefit the game and its players the most.
They also were aware of the issue with long wait times in GMC. I'm not going to deny that we didn't get feedback on that. I imagine that's something that could be improved should this mode make a comeback.
Franchise Mode has consistently received updates over the last few years. I understand you may not like the features that have been added, but it's not being ignored by any means. There's also the Threes campaign that was added for offline play. Again, maybe not to your liking, but we're not exactly ignoring the offline crowd. Of course it could be better. I'd love to see Be A Pro revamped and more depth added. We've also had a lot of requests for that. Hopefully, it happens at some point.
There's a lot to do in this game both on and offline. The dev team is always looking to improve and add to both sides.
Legit this is the only reason I didn't play GM connected at the time. Word got out quick about how bad the menus were and I didn't want to go the hassle of 10 minutes to play.
Ironically that's what playing EASHL is like nowadays and guess what, I hardly play it lol
Oh jesus I hadn't even thought about that. LG would be completely different.
That'd be so fun to be able to play 6s with realistic caps and whatnot.
All those things you listed are core modes.. he’s right in a sense that since it’s on the fence of being a “necessity” in this game than it won’t be added unless it proves to add some monetary value. Whether that’s creating purchases or through micro transactions.
If adding it won’t convince people to buy the game, or if there isn’t some way they can make money off it, they won’t add it in and take attention away from other modes. People DO buy the game to play EASHL, BaP, etc and obviously HUT makes money
I don’t necessarily see it as that, so I don’t blame them for not having it in the game. What WOULD cause people to buy the game for this type of mode would be a shortened version like I’ve mentioned before (Online playoff mode that carries over and includes draft, free agency, trade deadline).
I’m also curious if the additions of scouts and coaches are implemented and working exactly how ea pictured them to or if programming issues create difficulties and roadblocks. On paper and the pre-release announcements they always sound great, but when you actually play the game they are heavily flawed and could use a lot of improvements.
Yet they ignored the basic idea of 3v3 Offline with regular teams
Also franchise mode improvements don’t mean much when roster sharing isn’t in the game. The roster updates are spread too far apart and regulations hamper EA, such as not being able to add players until they’ve played a game. No one wants to start a franchise in December/January. I sure as hell don’t.
Add more depth to franchise like people have been requesting and give us roster share and see how it skyrockets.
The original mode was designed so that every player could be unique. You were able to play multiplayer as far as I know but it had line changes and wasn't just 6 locked players.
There weren't many limitations in it which is why it was slow on the servers as everything was updating on every screen with all the live changes being made.
Definitely a lot of learnings to take into doing something like that again.
I also liked being able to change the base settings/game style so that you could play what was the equivalent of the Full Sim we have now in the games you played inside it.
Exactly. LG and other leagues seem to be quite popular over the last few years. Maybe it is time EA puts a huge focus onto incorporating all of that into the game. I imagine it would be quite successful. They could get the league owners to help with input on what is required etc.
