6 straight games where I was beating a team in Div 1 EASHL they CR glitched to negate the loss
Yup, that’s the state of this game right now.
Well that will be the last time I ever support EA ever again. They can’t fix a simple issue like people exploiting a glitch to erase a loss.
Other developers would have had this emergency patched up the same week.
Don’t worry the next patch we’ll get will be version NHL 21. It comes with a beautiful $79.95 price tag (maybe more now that ps5 will be out).
Thoughts?

In any case, yeah, it's a real bummer these sorts of bugs/glitches/whatever make their way into the game and are heavily exploited. I'm hoping with the new console generation and blisteringly fast load times and calculations we'll see far less exploits
I totally get how frustrating this is. I remember the loop glitch from previous years and it drove me crazy each time. So, I know how you feel. That said, we're aware of this and investigating it. It hasn't been an easy one to resolve, but the dev team is still looking for a resolution. Unfortunately, we're not able to modify your record. You're welcome to private message me the players/clubs that are doing this and I'll pass them along to the appropriate people.
If there's proof can you not ban them?
You're willing to get people in trouble for racist names, but why not players who clearly abuse the game mechanics?
As I said, we'll pass along their details, but we don't discuss when action is taken on individual accounts or EASHL clubs.
Pretty sure they dont ban people for racist names, likely just give them a warning forcing them to change it. they don't ban any paying customer for anything.
While we're not going to discuss individual accounts, there are many times paying customers are banned. I talk to them on an almost daily basis. Spending money doesn't give you free rein to break the Terms of Service. We have no problem banning people regardless of what they've spent if they are repeatedly breaking the rules or are a first time offender and it's an extreme act they've committed.
Have you banned people for reasons other than involving HUT?
Action has been taken on accounts for people violating the Terms of Service as they apply to the entire game. Not just with HUT.
Why hasn't action been taken on the few extremely prominent trolls in drop ins?
Can you get some video of their behavior? I'm not saying that's going to get them banned, but as annoying as it is, someone going offside all game long isn't a bannable offense.
This shouldn't even require a second thought...
I'm not saying it's ok to play this way at all. However, without even seeing what they're doing, it's not something we can take action on. Personally, I'd rather see some kind of reputation system go in so you can better avoid those players.
Key word is violating the Terms of Service
I highly doubt there is anything in the terms of service about those that grief others. Whether through trolling or exploitation of game mechanics/bugs/etc...
I've played this game a very long time, playing tens of thousands of games. I've seen 1000s of cheaters, griefers, etc... not to mention personally known 100s of other players. I've never once heard of a single player ever being banned from EASHL. And yes if it ever happened the entire universe would know about it as that player would wear it like a badge of honor.
I'm sure every complaint of griefing is met by EA with extreme scepticism to the point where it would have to be proven at such a level as to basically require you to be sitting in the same room recording the offender as he does it.
The only solution that will ever work is to build an in game reporting system and dedicate some staff to investigate these situations. Until that happens its basically free reign to behave however you want in this game.
And to be fair I've never said these are easy problems to solve and may not even be possible to completely eradicate. But at least make an effort. EA has never done that in regards to any of these problems except "try" and fix major bugs when they are being exploited. I say "try" because sometimes these bugs carry over for years.
as far as the original topic goes...I don't remember the last time I went an entire night where at least one of my EASHL wins doesn't wig out and register as a loss. On bad nights it happens at least 3 times. By that I mean my team is winning and before the game ends all the sudden its like my entire team got kicked and we get a loss or you see some guys from other team quit just as game ends and it finishes, shows you won yet you lose CR. Because if you check you actually got a loss even though final scoreboard shows your team winning. I don't know if its intentional or just some crazy bugs. I've also seen bugs where it says i lost CR and then the next game its obvious that didn't happen.
Just an observation. I just move on to next game as I gave up caring a long time ago.
Not a bad idea, although players will eventually do this for themselves. There's obviously potential negative drawbacks to such a system as well.
Would this be something you EA folk would actually consider, however? It wasn't that long ago that our ability to make such a decision for ourselves was taken away from us in HUT.
If you're talking about the ability to see who you were playing before the game started and back out, I don't see that being a problem. It was too easy to dodge those you didn't want to play. Just based on a name, who their best player was, what team they chose, etc. It wasn't purely about not facing someone you did previously because you didn't like how they played. Many innocent people could be affected by it. Then, you have the guys that are just highly skilled and well known through the community that get dodged so they have a hard time finding games. That's not something we want to have happen. You shouldn't get to cherry-pick your opponents.
As far as a reputation system being something to consider goes, I'm sure the dev team is aware of this being an option. It has its pros and cons. I don't know if a system like this will go into place, but if it does, it needs to be done just right or it may not work out as well as it seems.
Exactly what would be the point of a reputation system if not to 'dodge' those you don't want to play, or play with?
