Thanks for not sending me a code. Very kind.

Yup same here. Im pretty sure EA has me on some list cus they cant handle hearing the truth all the time. But,its things like this that make me hate EA in the first place so yeah.

If you signed up when the registration was live, you should have received a code. You can contact an advisor to have them check your account. We very frequently see that people registered with a different account than they intended to. You can try try contacting @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here. You can also go to facebook.com/eahelphub to get in touch with support.

Thank you. Ive already tried eahelp in 2 different ways. I only have one account and one gamertag so there was no mistake. Its not the end of the world but also unfortunately this is exactly what i expect out of EA. Wasnt just myself either. I saw quite a few on fb, reddit, and twitter with the same issue. I appreciate you trying though as youve already done more than both the other people i talked to have. Take care.

I checked the account you're posting with. It wasn't given a beta code so other than registering with a different account, that would mean either you didn't register in time or the registration didn't go through for some reason. In the vast majority of cases, people signed up with a different account than the one their PSN ID/Xbox gamertag is linked to.
  • Sorry OT or something, but have you had time to play this beta Aljo? Im curious to know your opinion. 😊🧐

I have. I'm enjoying it and it's gotten me more excited for 21 so hoping the next several weeks pass by quickly. I'm not going into detail about my experience here though. We want to hear from you guys.
  • Doesnt even matter if you signed up when ea support tells you they just randomly sent codes to a small group of people and thats it.

Nope. Registered the very first day with this very account and the only gamertag ive had for years. This happened last year to me as well.

Yup, EA support had no idea what they were talking about. They told me that of those who signed up, only a couple dozen people got codes. Then, the 2nd guy told me codes were sent at random to players.

This is absolutely not true so I don't know why they told you that. I also don't see any recent cases with support on your account so if you were in touch with them, it was on a different account. Which again, leads me to believe we're dealing with multiple accounts here.

Sankalp (9/1/2020, 2:19:05 PM): As I can see that the codes were already sent to players randomly to try out the game and share feedback and the codes were not sent for your account.

Sankalp (9/1/2020, 2:24:43 PM): I totally understand that however signing up for BETA does not ensure that you will surely get the BETA codes as they're sent out to some players randomly. This is a Closed BETA for NHL 21 so codes were sent out to very few players.

When I said it's not true I meant that codes weren't randomly sent out. I don't know why the advisor would tell you that. Regardless, I checked your account and it wasn't registered for the beta so it's possible you registered using a different account.

Im aware, just providing some "proof". I didnt register for the beta, was completely unaware of its existence until I saw news if it being postponed. Unfortunate because the beta is usually the high point of the game each year for me before they ruin it with tuners and people figure out what slight adjustment they need to make to take the same shot theyve been taking for 9 years.
  • Why did you nerf hitting and defensive interceptions? Who thought this was a good idea? As a full time defender I've already been hanging on by a thread the last few years, but this is the first time I can say I'm not having any fun. This is usually the most exciting time of the year for these games, but this is looking bad. I hope you have something up your sleeves before launch because I'm pretty set right now on not buying a hockey game for the first time since 2008...

Why are you guys so adamant on keeping one timers how they are? Put them back how they use to be, pre NHL20. Locking our aim in as soon as the pass comes our way is a garbage change. You ruined gameplay just to satisfy the presentation aspect of how it looks.

yeah its really annoying for all of us that have played so long a certain way. I've adjusted and try not to do it but it happens. Especially when i'm wide open, they don't pass. i see the D move into position to cut off the lane so i move and just then they force the pass and it gets through and i instinctively still do what I've always done. Quick stop, hit L2 and RS up right split second before aiming in opposite area from where i was just moving. but instead of going in open net it goes wide the other way. I'm an old guy. Hard to change 20 year old habits.

whats funny is how i occasionally beat a really good goalie like this because instead of shooting top right like I want it goes bottom left (through 5 hole) and beats the goalie that spider man leaped to the top right corner. one of those "i meant to do that" moments.
  • A little disappointed on the equipment options, was hoping to see more vintage options for skaters and goalies. It’s odd that there are legends in the game, but their vintage equipment isn’t available. I like the no helmet option, I hope that carries over to create a player. Hoping for more options in the create a team, but did like the ability to pull jerseys from existing teams. Overall, the gameplay is great, but the customization is below what I expecting in regards to equipment. I was hoping for more helmets, gloves, and goalie equipment. I like the addition, especially with skating looks, but was still hoping for more customization. I also hope that all the pro equipment from CHEL can find its way to create a player. I just want more customization for the modes outside CHEL
  • As a player that focuses on Franchise Mode, the current level of customization for skaters, goalies, and teams is enough to be acceptable, but becomes worn out quickly leaving much to be desired.
  • I would just like to see 30 helmet options and a no helmet option in create a player rather than 16
