SERIOUSLY, have all programmers taken the weekend off? No patch yet for the hiccup in opening packs? Now I've found a new flaw. Don't save your starting lineup with holes; you won't be able to get back in to edit.
They don't work weekends including the holiday, even if it's launch weekend.
I would like to point out, and I guess defend the developers here, that this game was made during a pandemic and was released just one month after the game would have been initially released. So the developers deserve some credit for getting it out in a timely manner (unlike other big titles IE Watch Dogs, and Cyberpunk.) While it may not be perfect, it is kind of a mini-miracle that is was only delayed one month whereas other games have been delayed multiple months and sometimes multiple times. I think we're forgetting about that, mainly because we're passionate about the game, but also partly because the series is not progressing at the rate as some of us would like. Which is fine, but lets cut them a little slack this year, it has been abnormal, to say the least.
Compare it to other games and there's no comparison. Leads me to believe that the pandemic is not an excuse.
Definitely not an excuse to sell this as a full-priced title.
I did not get any of my loyalty packs. It seems a lot of players are experiencing this issue. Has there been a fix that actually works?
I honestly thought I had to wait for live release. Haven't gotten any pack other than the ea play free pack in the store.

I'm on Xbox and did a couple of updates and game went great over the weekend but the only packs for me have been the 'Starter Pack' when creating my HUT team and the EA Play pack in the store.
No other packs yet.
Part of the problem is not making it abundantly clear within the game. They could've included it in the banner that tells you to make sure you exit the game so that your 10 hours doesn't count down. They even could've put a Welcome pack into everyone's Inbox that contains Tips cards to explain it.
Me and my friends just finished our 10 hour trial and all of us agree this is the WORST nhl game released in a long time. EASHL is unplayable with how broken the game is. Defence does not matter anymore with pucks going threw players no matter how well covered or in position defenders are. Hopefully their is a patch to fix this lousy game.
Just wanted to thank EA for getting me to waste my money once again on this game, bought the ea play subscription to get discounts and trials and then purchased the deluxe version to get early access which hasn’t worked. Then promised a patch ASAP so I could get my early access.... never happened. No more early access, hopefully I can finally download it tonight. I wish 2K would take over!!! Not one response on here from anyone for EA but they have time to edit out people’s curse words. Thanks again for the runaround!

Speaking of price, an interesting trend here locally. Three major retailers are selling the standard disc version at EUR 45.00 for pre-order. In previous years they've been mostly EUR 59.00, when the PS Store version has always been EUR 69.00 for the standard version.
Can only speculate why it's so cheap this time around, maybe pre-orders have been really down this year? Several shops are still retailing the game around EUR 59 to 69, so it's not like the price is coming from importers/distributors, I guess?
So that's not too bad, especially as there's no advantage in pre-ordering the standard version from PS store, as you don't get to play any sooner. The only thing is perhaps, the 94 retro game?
I'd be comfortable buying this game for what it is around EUR 35 to 40 at release, so we're not that far off.
Game is broke. Paying extra for a broke game makes no sense. Errors all over the place for online content. The seriously never have this game prepped for launch. Where is the stress test to ensure your not ticking off your player base with inoperable software. Am I going to lose the added packs I purchased like last year. 2 hours trying to play and all I get is disappointed. Stop releasing broke games!

Myself and another are having the exact same issue. The HUT packs that cost 200P, 400P, 1200P are unavailable for purchase via pucks giving and error such as "the offer has expired". The only packs available to purchase by pucks are 100P and 150P respectively. I'm unsure if these packs are purchaseable by coins. The only similarities we have is we both preordered the basic version and decided to preorder the deluxe version prior to the 3 day early release.

100% the most unbalanced game they released so far. just force central since everything will go through dmens skates and shots up close are so op goalie doesn't even go into save animations.

I'm sorry for getting you such a late response. We're not here 24/7 so it may take a couple of days to get a response at times. Regardless, you can also get help by opening a case with an advisor here. Normally, when there's a problem with the trial, downloading it through your console's online store through a web browser will get you the correct version.
