Offline player editing NHL 21
Back at it again. Got NHL 21 and was impressed with it til I saw that editing real players height and weight were still disabled. Really want it back like a lot of Offline players so I can fix those minor issues I can see. Like Zadorov on Chicago. Ingame he’s listed at 6’5 and 230 To where Online sites have him at 6’6 and 235. That’s all I want is to fix these minor issues.

10yrs into the mode and you can’t change prospects that have attributes that match pwf and not sniper.
I think this would be a good idea. So offline players could choose from the database which face should be applied to which player. Also in be a pro mode. This way the face could be similar at least instead of Joe NHL copies. I hope EA could take it into consideration and patch it in.
Also, along the lines of player editing, I’ve noticed 2 things that really annoy me.
First, when editing D-men, for some reason, their overalls change from what it shows in the upper right corner when editing them, to higher overalls once you back out.
Example;
If you want a guy to be a 77, you have to edit him down to a 71 or so. It’s really frustrating as I find I have to edit the same guy 5 times to get to the desired overall.
Second. When editing players on multiple teams, they don’t show up in the uniform of the team page your on. They can be in the other teams uniform.
Example;
When editing Ray Bourque on the Bruins Alumni “Edit Player” page, he shows up in an Avalanche uniform.
This has never happened before. It was always, when you edit a player, it edits all versions of said player throughout the game, but they will be in the uniform of the team whose “Edit Player” page you are on.
Both of these bugs are driving me up the wall as I’m trying to make Alumni teams with no duplicate players, and when I edit guys they either have to edited 5 times to get the overall I want, or they are in a different uniform than the team page I’m editing on.
I hope I made my point. It’s so frustrating that I can’t think straight.
Don’t worry, instead of patching bugs to make the offline experience more enjoyable, they actually patched the game to make offline gameplay less enjoyable.
@EA_Aljo This has come up in numerous threads yet not 1 mod has responded about this. Can the NHL series fanbase at least get the courtesy of some sort of acknowledgement about this issue?
It’s appalling that over a month later and you still can’t edit players in FM
It really stinks that it's locked...
But why?? Every other sports game we can edit those things. Some even during franchise mode!
The issue I found about this is that junior players tends to grow ALOT year to year.
Like Tyson Foerster for exemple. He is 5'11" and 172 lbs maybe (don't remember exactly) but he is now from I've seen 6'2" 192 lbs. Massive difference.
The OHL didn't update their website yet since they are in preseason. When they will update the rosters of each clubs, everything will need to be updated, not just adding the new guys like they did with the Q. The ones who were already there last year and the one before don't have their measurements updated. Like Cam Whynot who took nearly 15 lbs. And that is a small change compared to others (like Foerster)
If they are not going to update it as it should, just unlock the thing. It's not like there is a roster share option that could messed up with something. It's just us.. at home.. alone..
Btw, why don't they put a new slider in the edit screen. A slider that let us decide the tendency of the player to shoot or pass the puck during simulations?
As of right now every created players does 50/50.
You can create a playmaker, a sniper, an offensive defenseman, a defensive defenseman and everybody will score nearly as much goals as they have assists.
Have a defenseman scoring 30 goals a season with 25 assists, year after year.... A playmaker scoring 50, 60 goals with 20, 30 assists...
I remember back in the PS3 days with the NHLView thing that we were able to modify everything, there was a slider like that.
Not all players plays the same, so that slider exist. Would just be cool if we can have access to it so that my Claude Giroux stops putting 40 goals a year and have something more like 20, 25 goals and 50, 60 assists.
Just sayin
We aren't responding because we don't have any details on this. We'll have to wait for news from the dev team.
i created at least 80 missing players
i ve re rated the whole prospect pool ...lafreniere 82 ..stutzle 70 yeah right
once you get in the rating you see how bad it is
players who have score an avg of 5 goals in the last 3 years and as 85 shooting accuracy?
there is a ton like that
this game is really cool when you created your own roster and create a wider gap in all attributes
why is everyone skating rating is in between 80 to 92
it should be like 75 to 99
bobby ryan who is an 85 ...the guy can barely keep up with the traffic he is 78 at best ...
like i said before it s insane the amount of attribute and potetial that don t make sense
i should not have to do that each years with nhl game
but every years is the same the rating is awful
hire someone who know hockey or give us roster sharing
it s a shame because this game is pretty good this years
cheers

You’ve seen this thread haven’t you, you can send it to the development team by mail. You can contact them and you’re the only one who can make sure this is taken care of. Otherwise this will be forgotten and never adressed, because let’s face it, you’re the only EA employee that will see this.
(Thanks for taking time to read this if you ever do)
Yes. I've seen this thread. We still don't have any new information on fixes for offline modes. When we do, we'll post that on our official channels.
