Real Goalie Masks Coming?

As I was browsing through my Facebook feed I came across this post.




And for those who don't know, DAVEART is a big supplier of goalie masks in the NHL. So this could mean that we'll see some real goalie masks in NHL in the future which could be really exciting.

Thoughts?

I have to think this is for 22... Too bad they couldnt get Jordon Bourgeault's work also. The mask he designed for Carey Price this year is INSANE

Until we can edit our own masks, this is simply just a step in the right direction.

Cool that 30-40 goalies could potentially have their real masks in the game. Uncool that if Bishop and Allen get traded, they would be wearing the other guy’s mask.

Could be official masks of some goalies and it might just also be him creating custom masks for teams.

I would be content even if all he did was create a wide variety of custom masks. I can't believe that they've had the same handful of custom design masks for the last several years.

What I would love to see is each year they have the guy create more and more artwork for helmets and even custom jersey logos. I want to have the ability to decorate our helmet with logos and such that he makes. Pretty much Create a Goalie Helmet with a huge template of things to work with. That would be the ultimate goal imo.

Absolutely—and it’s long overdue.

They just have to make sure we don't have 100% freedom because we know people will do childish things like they always do. EA doesn't want to moderate either case by case so they would need to put restrictions and limits but still off plenty of options.

Yeah. I’m a big proponent of just giving us the ability change colour zones on the masks.

There are enough cool designed in the game that I can work with, just give us the ability to make the colours on the mask match the pads/uniforms.

Yeah it’s similar to what 2k had but just way better (2k’s left a LOT to be desired) lol. I really dig that idea.
