NHL 21 Patch - November 12th

Today's NHL 21 Emergency Update addressed an issue players were running into when substituting lines within Franchise Mode. Here are the full patch notes:

-Fix for an issue in the Franchise Mode Edit Lines Screen when selecting the "Substitute in all lines" option.


The Emergency Title Update will be going live on all platforms (Xbox/Playstation) at 10AM PT/1:00PM ET today, Thursday, November 12th.

Will the Pepsi Center Branding on the Avalanches benches and Penalty boxes be taken out? Also any stabilizers for Series X or S as well as PS5 Deployments. Also, plays of the month when can we submit?

Nice to know you guys care deep about the people trying to help fix your game by telling you guys about game breaking bugs you continue to ignore. How hard is it to fix the auto generated skating style glitch??? EVERY SINGLE PLAYER the game creates has their sliders set to 0 skating like an idiot, and not to mention the 15 other menu bugs that the last patch brought us. Why would you release this patch fixing ONE bug out of 50. Come on man

I wonder if it's just a coincidence that I played my most fun game for a long time in HUT right after the update....

Found a little bit of an issue. Takes a bit of explaining.

I have Hornqvist as a LD on PP1 and 4 man PP lines. When trying out the new patch I scratch him and I have 4 line errors. 1st line, 2 PP lines & 4on4 line. When I re-dress him I still have 2 errors.

It’s only replacing him where he’s listed as a forward on 1st line and 4on4 line. It’s not replacing him where he’s listed in a D position.

Tried with another forward who’s listed as RD on 3on3 line and he was replaced in every line except where he was in a D position. Same result with any forward listed in a D position.

Then tried with a D man as C on the 3 man PK line. Same result, scratched him and got 5 line errors. Re-dressed him, 1 line error where he wasn’t put back as the C on the 3 man PK line.

Playing in franchise mode, PS4.

Workaround is easy enough. Manually re-add the players back into the line. Inconvenient but not as bad as having to restart the game.

This has been a lame bug for the past.. forever. It’s been in there since at least 17 for sure. Can’t remember before that. They just don’t test their stuff enough to fix it. Either that or they don’t care and we just have to deal with the workaround of manually readding them which is pretty annoying

Cool, now can you turn off the roster limits while in pre-season? Pretty cumbersome trying to rotate everyone in the system in and out of the lineup when you have to constantly move multiple players between NHL/AHL.

Ever gonna patch the issues plaguing BAP and FM? Still waiting over a month after release, the game modes are broken and unplayable

If it ain't effecting HUT......they don't give a crap. Sad but true. If it was effecting HUT it would be fixed straight away.
