So when we getting any kind of update EA? Wether it's a patch, equipment update or a roster update? I mean we know all you care about is HUT, but yeah us other players need some info...

  • It's January, at this point I expect the next update to be NHL 22.
  • You would think at least one or two more gameplay patches would come, but of course impossible to say.
Even tough im not a big fan on how things are right know in the online section, I still bealive a well-rounded patch could turn things around to something really good. Can’t be that far away, the gameplay can definitely have some moments of Joy, but there's still too much blur in the way.

  • Will probably get a roster updates ,but as far as game play goes the game is playing exactly as intended ,so just keep on forcing this cross creases

They need to add in the new CCM's, Bauer's and True/ lefevbre equipment/pads tbh.

Yeah I find the equipment for the players not to be too bad at the moment, but the goalie equipment this year is horrendous. They added maybe three new sets? and forgot about maybe seven?
  • honestly, I was feeling better about EA this year. They were releasing roster updates religiously every 2 weeks since release but they're falling back into their patterns of old again. They're going to say they were waiting for an NHL lineup release but hellloooo there are other leagues in the game! The DEL and Liiga have ATROCIOUS rosters and could easily have been edited during that time frame. I wouldn't even mind so much but they "hide" players year after year. I don't get why they do that. Isn't that what the free agents pool is for? Nope...that's for the 15+ duplicate players they make because they don't double check their work...
  • EA, if you're looking for things to patch you may start by fixing your AI defenders that stand there like a bump on a log while the attacking skater flies by you for a 2 on 0 tap-in crosser. Also, you could fix your human defenders where they don't do a long slow turn/spin when you try to turn around and skate. Real skaters can turn around in a step or two and don't require a semi turn on a hard corner. Food for thought

Most likely the delay with a roster update has to do with the dev team being off for the holidays.

Which mode are AI defenders not taking action in? Players having reduced pivot speed is intended as it helps cut down on the backskating that the community has been very vocal about.

Players having reduced pivot speed all around is not what the community wanted, they wanted it reduced only with the puck.

There is no reason to nerf backskating without the puck as it’s a necessary tool to play defense, which is nowhere near where it needs to be right now. AI and user

I think the slight hitch on pivots is needed to encourage dumping the puck more. I’m with the devs on this one. I just wish the CPU offline understood momentum and how to play someone going wide on them better. They just don’t use the blueline as an extra defender like humans would, and it’s the reason this game is so rushy and has so many opening in the defensive zone. They don’t do enough up ice to take away time and space.
  • How hard is it to do a roster update? I mean, either give us the tools to fix rosters easily and trade draft picks. Or you know... do the updates yourself.

hopefully NHL goes the way of Star Wars

Well, I’m assuming they’ll wait till everyone plays a game and all the proper steps have been made to make sure everyone new is able to get into the game. Also, EA does not hold any exclusivity rights on the NHL license so there’s no way for this series to go “the Star Wars route” lol.

I disagree- I like pivoting more in this game. It’s more realistic
