I realize the official NHL season is only a few weeks old now, but the game has been out since the fall. At this point in time, as disappointing as it would be, I'd almost settle for an official statement from EA letting us whether or not any new equipment was going to be added to this year's game or not. It kinda sucks playing the "wait and guess" game at this moment as to whether or not they will or won't.
That’s EA’s playbook though. Remember NHL 15? They failed to mention there would be no EASHL till after they were taking pre-orders lol. They’re hoping players are hopeful enough in an update that they’ll buy.
I think we should be able to use the CHEL equipment in the Be A Pro mode especially for goalie equipment that way we have at least something that's different. It's been the same for so long and I don't think it would be all that much to add those files from CHEL into the game for being able to select it for normal modes and not just CHEL
It's kinda sad that more than half the goalies in the game are wearing the wrong or outdated gear in this game. I was really hoping they'd pull through and add some of the new gear we've seen this season, at very least the new True and CCM gear.

No, you're right. Even goalies too, goalie Louis Domingue on Tampa Bay is a righty and his Bauer stick is backwards, you see the back of it saying Vapor versus seeing Bauer. (I actually believe it or not, I spend hours upon hours editing every single player on NHL rosters before I even play the game. I make sure each player wears the right equipment (if it's in the game, if not I get as close as I can to it.) That stuff means a lot to me and making sure every player is accurate is important to me anyway. I also go through every teams lines and adjust them to real life.

I just ordered a full custom set of pads IRL, and it makes me want the equipment side of the house cleaned up that much more. True pads in general, hyperlites, eflex 5’s, vapor 2x color zones are still off (if even staying in the game), Brian’s Optik 2 color zones are off, and maybe some templated “team pads” branded as Brian’s/Bauer/eFlex 5’s that we can color as well.
I know the goalie side much mote than the player side, but I assume the player side needs some serious TLC as well.
It really bugs me every time I play and see that all the righty sticks for both goalies and players have the decals on backwards. Also it kills me to not see the newest gear in the newest game.
