    Weak.

Yep! Especially since they are ignoring all the important issues, which is causing half the population to go offline or leave to other games. Majority of the top gamers are streamers and have been very disappointed in the state of NHL 21. Especially the IP booting and goalie glitch not being addressed by any means. This is the first time I have ever been frustrated with an EA Sports NHL game. In the past I would barely post on here. But this is getting ridiculous and to ignore customers who paid over $80 for this game is disgusting...Being a streamer myself and joining the EA NHL community on NHL 20 as I was doing so well then in Div 1. Now Div 5 because people like to IP boot.... I have met many gamechangers and they have expressed their own concerns with disappointing feedback. Right now league sixes is the only way to go in this game, as it can be monitored for when people cheat and everyone knows about it, so they get booted. As HUT and Versus, they are P2P and nothing gets done about the toxic players. Report options don't even give a selection to report for certain things...Sad to say but if NHL 22 is anything like this, we might have another NHL 15 disaster to a point where customers will just be done... Already seen someone comment about the recent patch and was replied back negatively by someone who I cannot name who said in quote: " What Do You Wants Us To Do About It? " My response was deal with said issues and get this game fixed. Gameplay is good, but features and other major issues ruin the experience...

Cannot agree more with you here! Unfortunate EA cannot wake up to realize that this years game is broken. My club recently disbanded in 3's in result to a club having their goaltender stride to the other side forcing himself in front of our own goalie. He has caused 9 clubs to disband causing the mass majority to go into 6's. We have 2 gamechangers on our roster and they have both stopped playing. My buddies friend who is also a known gamechanger deleted his HUT team as he was target of IP booter's. He started his own league which has been quite successful. Moral of the story is EA doesn't care anymore about the customers happiness. They are a business and just looking for a paycheck like every other person in today's society. The work ethic is very bare bones and lackluster with the effort they put it. Soon enough us consumers will realize it just isn't worth the money to pay for a half made game. Then the market will crash and they will seize to exist, just like how 2K lost their rights to the NHL series games. It's about take, take, take with no giving back. The amount of gameplay issues this year are the epidemy of how much they actually care about providing us with through the roof content. Gameplay has been a focus since NHL 15, and a lot of it was skating/shooting mechanics. They paid little to zero attention at features and detail to make their game more realistic. I have played hockey since I was a kid. Spent many years in Major junior and Euro leagues. This game doesn't even give that same feel by any means. FIFA 21 is more realistic to be generally honest.
  • IP booted once again, this time on PS4. I was up 1-0 in the 3rd. 4.1 seconds left my opponent pauses it. I get disconnected and a message from him saying thank you! Enjoy the malware! Deleted my HUT teams on Xbox and PS. I'm never buying this game again! I'm done! Bye!

What is more concerning right now is gameplay! We need a major update for that because it's turning majority of us away. Some of the top streamers and gamechangers are starting to avoid HUT and EASHL now because of IP booting. Just recently a guy has been on Xbox in 3's booting clubs, and glitching across to the other opponents net to block the goalie from making a safe so his team can score. He plays HUT too and has IP booted people. last week someone bought NHL 21 just to boot the top players in HUT champs on Xbox and went after a partnered NHL streamer. This person had 12 hours, 45 minutes played and cheated his way to Div. 4. I went against him and he ragged the puck. I caught a break scored and he booted me also. In any previous EA NHL game I have played, these issues weren't as common. I used to play 10-15 games daily, and enjoyed it. Now I play 2 games a week and get frustrated...

I think it's pointless at this rate to even report players when no action is being taken. Last week a guy was IP booting the top gamers in Hut Champs on Xbox One. Literally is why he bought the game. He is still online. Then there is the guy I am talking about who is glitching his goalie to the other side and IP booting people. Hundreds of reports on him. And today while trying out for a 3 v 3 club as goalie, I get paired up with him in my 9th game. He does the same thing to me and I lose 7-2 as I couldn't make a save while he was pushing me. If nothing is going to get done where players like these are dealt with, I'm officially uninstalling this game. Already NHL 21 is starting to slowly decrease in population, other than League Games. Just over the cheaters and frustration of them, ruining our experience with their toxicness.

There has been action taken on many accounts for various reasons. We don't publish that information as it's a privacy issue. You can keep the information to yourself, which will lead to more of a chance of nothing being done or you can report the players.

You mention in one of your posts that HUT is P2P. It isn't. HUT is on dedicated servers. The same goes for EASHL. So, it's possible they aren't IP booting and have found another way to make games not count.

This person that bought the game last week managed to get enough points for HUT Champs so they could participate and IP boot? They'd have to somehow earn enough points to gain access. It just seems unlikely so if you have an account you want us to investigate, let one of us know privately.
  • ****! EA Sports, where is new goalie equipment, True, Bauer, CCM??? You are laziest gamedevs.
  • 10am PT eh?
    Classic!
  • This is seriously pathetic. No BAP or FM updates?
  • Still no PC compatibility.

    Shameful. 12 years of shame.
  • Thx! But what about adding true goalie equipment, update some more masks and maybe adding the sponsors one the player helmets ?
  • I probebly shouldnt say anything.. But as always, right after a patch been realesed, the game feels pretty good... But I know there wasen't any gameplay related fix.

I guess no one else feels the same?

I wonder if it has something to do with the download, like a 'hard reset' for servers and everything. That makes the game smoother.

    I dont know.

But I played 3 games and won all 3 with a pretty satisfying hockey, if I can say it myself... 😏

It is so sad. But I’m pretty sure we’re stuck with FM and BAP being in the pathetic state it’s in. Unless it’s a huge bug that breaks everyone’s game, I doubt we’re getting any updates or fixes

It's concerning that pass accuracy on no-look passes isn't being addressed.

Additionally - no changes made to defensive A.I. reception on passes that are forced through the crease.

In fact, there doesn't appear to be any fixes for Gameplay or the IP Booting people are beginning to see happen more and more.

There are instances where a player is not facing the play but still able to execute a 100% accurate no-look pass. Although I'm aware Sidney Crosby can do this, this type of play is being executed by non-Sidney Crosby players with an incredible amount of regularity.
  • No gameplay changes at all lol, guess the game is perfect in their eyes.

Abit strange.. I wonder why... There's probebly something to fix all the time.. But not even the tiniest little bug on this patch.

Might be working on some bigger gameplay patch or if they already left 21 behind and put all focus on next game.
  • DethcoreRtchyTTV - sounds like you deleted the game, but just FYI, there's nothing they can do about IP booting. If someone gets your IP address, they can DDOS you no matter what game you're playing. It's a fundamental weakness of the TCP/IP protocol.

I can send some people your way who are gamechangers to prove this happened. He was playing 12 hours and 45 minutes of NHL 21. There is a livestream on Twitch from a partnered NHL streamer in which his viewers witnessed the person doing it. Very frustrating!

Hi EA_AIjo! Can you tell me why the developers are reluctant to add new goalie gear from True, Bauer and CCM to NHL 21?

Okay thanks. I'll try and do it a private message. Was talking to a friend who works for an internet company in Alberta, and it's not EA servers these IP booters are getting into. It's the AWS servers. I'm connected to Oregon and they have somehow found a loophole into my network. My whole router is infested with malware now after getting into another bad game where someone decided to boot me while we were tied 2-2 in the second. He has threatened to post my IP Address on Reddit. It was livestreamed and my mod witnessed it. So far uninstalled my game as I just cannot enjoy going through this anymore. It's mentally draining dealing with cheaters in the game.
