Sure, I'd understand if you're not contracted to pay the voiceover guy to come in mid-season and record new name announcements. But not adding the pic is sheer laziness.

Every time you update rosters mid season you NEVER add player pics. You don't have to do this for everyone but if you do it for the top prospects you'd have a LOT more happy players out there.

Current very noteworthy examples of recent and soon-to-be-eligible draftees that have blank in-game pics:
Zegras, Samuelsson, Lambert, Edvinsson, Wallstedt, Turcotte, Luneau, Wallinder, Eklund, Robertsson, Zach Bolduc, Grans, Rosen, Torgersson, Niederbach, Olausson, Lysell, Moberg, Novak, Chromiak, Tuomaala, Andrae, Lungkrantz, Salomonsson, Jurmo, Nybeck, Ljungman. I've probably missed a few but fixing this short list in you're next roster update would be a nice gesture and would require VERY minimal time/effort.

And while we're at it, can I ask why, for players who you haven't bothered to create an in-game likeness, the default hairstyle has to be "mullet"? For years I've played this series and watched so many young draftees come into my franchise who all look like they just came from a demolition derby.

You let us change their playoff beard and facial hair style/color but just let us change their hairstyle too since it's not like you've bothered to program in a real likeness anyway. @DNredpanda2837 its because putting players' faces in wont make them more profitable. Adding HUT cards does so thats a majority of their focus. It sucks but profit motives makes these EA sports games less fun for non "ultimate team" players.

I would hope before the end of the NHL 21 update season that there is a serious effort put into player name recognition. There are still way too many names that aren't announced in game. This seems like such a small task I don't understand why it's not done. Any nhl player over 23 should have their name recognized in game by now. I realize not every player is going to be done but there are quite a few good NHL players over 23 who the game doesn't recognize their names. One is Victor Oloffson from Buffalo. At the very least if a player had elite medium potential they should have their name recognized, The group of young stars like lafrenieere, dylan cozens, kaprizov, turcotte, byfield, dach, kakko, byram, zegras, ryan merkley, drysdale, perfetti, ect should all have voice recognition by now. This is long overdue.
