Defend the faceoff one-timer?
I often find myself at the wrong end of this one:
Faceoff in my zone, left of the goalie. Opponent tie up my center, the puck goes to his left D for an immediate pass to his LW that has backed out to the opposing circle and bang... A onetimer is in the net.
And I bl--dy cant figure out how to defend this one. Is it a matter of strategy? Something to do with which faceoff technique I go for? Something else?
I would appreciate some help here

Because of that, if I loose the face-off, I immediately push my defender at the far side post.. To put pressure on the shooter. But as soon as the 1timer goes off, ensure to realese the pressure from your defender, and turn back to the direaction you came from.
there is a counter for every faceoff. you can watch sleeves video on youtube
Hold down the right trigger during the face off . If you lose flick the skill stick to take charge of the closest player. It works pretty quick and has saved me numerous goals against .
